Picking up a phone and ordering the tickets is hardly aggravation? It must be for some "fans"

Typical shite management from the club as normal. Ok we are not selling tickets on Saturday morning so lets close the office early on Friday night. Whats the revenue for selling 200 tickets? £3500 +. Can't even be bothered to respond to the other comments. Toss pot gull is off again. Sooo predictable. Sooooo boring.

Plymouth have brought in another player on a short term contract - Maxime Blanchard - a Frenchman formerly at Tranmere in league 1 before being released by them at the end of last season. A bit of a utility player and can play in defence or as a holding midfielder which I suspect is where he may play tomorrow. Slowly, Plymouth have strengthened their side over the week but again it is a tough ask for them to be able to slot in and gel together in a feisty Derby game. I am looking forward to this one now.

I feel like we're in a no-win situation tomorrow. I get the feeling the 'casuals' will expect a win. If we don't there'll be hell to pay. If we do get one over on the gargoyles, no one will be surprised.
I, however, will be over the moon if we win. Years of experience in these games have shown me to expect the unexpected.
I can hold my tongue no longer, people complaining about the ticket situation are laughable. How hard can it be? How long have they been on sale? I'm organising our work's Christmas lunch this year and there's always that same bunch of individuals who either can't make their mind up until the last minute or who complain about the venue, date, type of food etc. But it's always the same voices. As Jesus said 'there's no pleasing some people'.

Well, ticket office is now closed but it will still be a crowd of over 4000 and last season for normal league games that only happened during the last two matches when we were gunning for the play offs! Still an occasion to look forward to, despite not being a sell out showing how tough economic conditions are at the moment.

And if anyone on here or reads this thinks I'm a whining moaning whatever check the history of my posts eg I'm not, practical maybe, it just shouldn't have been that hard to sell the 4500 tickets before KO ie the night before the game, I just can;t figure it out (waiting for the dig on that one) anyway I'll be there with some mates who are looking forward to the game just wish there were 3420ish other TUFC fans feeling the same way.

Not to mention the hooligan element that is supposed to be turning up! It`s been whispered that an element of Exeters firm have got tickets so they can meet up with Argyles inbreds and get it on! I have banned my daughter from going anywhere near Plainmoor or town today, hope the police are in full force!

JJ, I share your frustration but I'm not sure if you can put a special offer on for a game like this. Every TUFC fan has known about this game ever since the fixtures were released and has had ample time to get a ticket for it. At this moment in time there are not enough of us with either the desire or financial resources to fill the stadium. Sad but it's as simple as that. Any deal would not affect the gate and would cost the club money. I can remember going to relegation dog-fight at Accrington Stanley several years ago where it was free to get in. Yes,' FREE' and it wasn't a full house on that day either. In fact some home fans even peered over a wall and watched the game from outside the ground rather than come inside for nothing. Funny lot us football fans. I'm not sure what else the club can do.

It's been a long, long wait to get one over Argyle and we certainly did it in style today! Our three second half goals were of the highest quality as the Gulls were rampant. As a nearby friend said O'Kane's second goal will live long in the memoery, in fact it was one of THE great moments that Plainmoor has witnessed over the years. Very few players would have the skill and vision to chip the ball over their keeper out-of-the-blue from outside the penalty area. Crowd disappointingly 3,983, over 1,000 PLymouth fans packed the away end, sponsors MOTM O'Kane which was never in doubt.
As I approached the ground today around 2.30pm there was a great expectant buzz around the place with lots of Argyle fans mingling. There was a fair police presence around as well both outside and in the ground. The Argyle fans were in good voice but the Yellow army found their voice just before kick-off. The old grandstand is now totally flattened and no-where to be seen.
Plymouth soon imposed themselves and showed plenty of commitment and edge the battle. There was only one clear chance in the first half when Plymouth were clear on goal on their right. Olejnik parried the shot strongly away. Torquay created little but did not get the chance to settle and you have to commend Plymouth for that. It was difficult to get any rhythm in such a frantic pace. There were hints of us getting our passing game together but players like Stevens were typically dwelling too long on the ball and losing possession. At the back Ellis was again in commanding form. So 0-0 half-time and it was a pretty horrible stop-start game to watch. Saah limped off after getting booked in a challenge and was replaced by Robertson.
With Torquay kicking towards their preferred Family stand, we took the lead 2 minutes into the second half. Following a strong run by Howe on the right he pulled the ball back. The ball broke loose outside the penalty area to O'Kane who hit an unstoppable shot low into the corner of the net - a wonderful strike. O'Kane's second two minutes later was even better! There seemed no danger until O'Kane on the ball about 35 yards out spotted Larrieu off his line. O'Kane's chip was inch perfect and just dipped under the crossbar. Poor old Larrieu just stood and watched in horror. 2-0 and Torquay were well in command with the Arygle fans silent at the other end. Torquay were attacking with purpose and Arygle were no match and looked there for the taking. Stevens set up O'Kane through on goal and just put the ball wide when he seemed certain to get his hat-trick. Stevens made no mistake from a jinking run and placed it passed Larrieu.
It was one-way traffic and Torquay were now looking a quality side. Plymouth did get a consolation from a move down their left that was finished off at close range. That did wake their fans up a bit and Plymouth gave it a bit of a go in the last 10 minutes. But Torquay's second half performance deserved their win and showed there is a fair gulf between the two sides.
This was a great afternoon to savour and exorcised some ghosts of having to settle to be second best for the last 39 years against Argyle. It was capped by one of THE great goals I have witnessed. All in all a rather satisfying afternoon! I just wished more home fans could have made the effort. These sort of experiences don't happen too often. Surely we won't have to wait another 39 years?

A well deserved win with the genius of Eunan unlocking their defence to set up this long overdue win over a depleted Plymouth side that nevertheless battled well and didn't give up although we had the chances to make it five or six.
The first half was nothing to write home about with Plymouth aggressively closing the ball down and not allowing us to settle into our passing game. We had a goal mouth scramble from a corner whilst they had a shot coming in from the right wing well saved by Olejnik. Saah did pick up a yellow card after being sold short by a back pass from Oastler but hobbled off shortly after which I understand from listening to Ling's post match interview was from a groin strain and may be out for three to four weeks.
One moment of humour was after Feeney had hobbled off, he came back on after treatment to the announcer informing us he had been substituted for Lecointe - a quick count of green shirts was then made to check that their number of players was still eleven. ;D
The second half started in some style, Rene had got the ball and his telling cross was headed away but only really glanced to Eunan just outside the area and his low shot into the bottom right corner was unstoppable. Then a couple of minutes later, Eunan received the ball in a bit of space from the left wing and without hesitation, spotted Larrieu hovering around the penalty spot and his thirty yard shot was sweetly struck and just dipped to go into the top right hand corner - possibly the goal of the season?
At this point, Plymouth were at sixes and sevens with large gaps at the back and the gulls were attacking at will! Larrieu was not a happy bunny after a clearance from Ellis bounced just outside the penalty area and as he went to collect it, he just bounced off a leaping Rene and ended up at the bottom of a pile up. He complained bitterly to the ref to try and get Rene sent off or yellow carded but Rene had jumped first and you can't expect the opposing side to back off. Larrieu then experienced the animosity of the crowd for the rest of the game.
Eunan just missed out on a hat trick with a low shot beating the keeper but also the left hand post. We then went further ahead when a pass across the Plymouth back line was intercepted by Danny and a great run, with Eunan in support, went straight down the middle and his shot beat the on rushing Larrieu. Danny had a great game and Plymouth couldn't really handle him except by more or less man-handling him to try and gain an advantage.
Plymouth, did then create some more opportunities and after some good work on the left wing managed to get into the area and pass for Atkinson to force the ball home. Too little too late however and Rene almost managed to have the last word and using his strength to latch onto a clearance, got into a shooting position, bizarrely after playing a one-two with a Plymouth defender to see his left footed shot just clear the top left hand corner by a whisker.
So, a very entertaining second half and although there wasn't quite 3000 home fans, hopefully a few more of the irregulars will be tempted to come to the next home game! Eunan got the man of the match award but Danny pushed him close along with Rene who had a good game. Bodin was quiet and was replaced by Morris but came up against a quality left back in Onismor Bharsera. Five wins in a row and life sure is good for the yellow army!

I can only agree in full with the reports above - although I thought Eunan was more like 30/35 yards out when he fired is beauty over the concrete-booted Larrieu!
In addition to the other posts, I thought Morris looked good when he came-on - couple this with his involvement in two of the goals at Chesterfield last week he might just be starting to come good.
Eunan, Rene and Ellis will get a lot of the plaudits today, but two players that deserve excellent credit in dispatches today were Lathrope and Stevens. Lathrope doesn't have the silky long range passes, tight dribbling skills and an eye for goal but I thought he was very good today and excellent at carrying-out what are obviously his instructions - he marks the opposition well both on a man-to-man basis and zonally, he shows excellent awareness of positioning, he works hard to make himself available and often is the key to cutting-out the opposition attacks by standing-up and getting tight to his man. He doesn't make the spectacular slinding tackle so often because he doesn't need to - he has been a great competitor and I think that we are really starting to see that there is a decent defensive midfielder there.
Stevens ha vastly improved this season in terms of his effectiveness - I don't think that he will ever win-over some of the usual idiots on the Pop who seemed to be on his back from the second he ran the ball out of play early-on, but when he runs through the middle and stretches the opposition defence, he really can cause them problems. I'm glad he got the goal today that his performance merited. He is well worthy of his place in the starting line-up at the moment - and whilst the touchline managers on the Pop Side seem to berate him for 'not having a left foot', I think that if he had the same ability with his left foot he could be playing at a higher level.

Thanks, I have modified my post to 35 yards out as that seems to be the common opinion and I don't want to take any glory away from O'Kane. The shot from wherever it was caught us all out by surprise, especially their keeper! Interesting and some compliment that Ling says it's the best goal he's ever seen from the dug-out
