I seem to have blocked details of the last Devon Derby out of my mind, but Plymouth ones don't come around too often and it will be good to have a full ground (if only on three sides) to generate some atmosphere and passion in this game. I think winning away at our other local Derby gave Ling both time and goodwill to sort things out during the recent slump and proves that beating your local rivals is pretty high up on most fans priorities for the season! I was shocked to see on another thread that it is the best part of forty years since we have won a league game against the Janners and surely we won't have a better chance of doing it this weekend. Although they are now out of administration, so far only Bignot, a defender from Blackpool has been brought in but as stated elsewhere, four suspensions is a big blow to an already weak squad and I think that they will struggle particularly in midfield. On the other side of the coin, Torquay have a steady settled squad scoring twelve goals in the last four games and Stefeno may yet have his revenge on the 1969 defeat and prove it is best served on a cold dish! ;D As long as he is fit, Bodin should be back in the side giving Ling a choice of Morris or Danny on the left and I feel that we are starting to get some options out wide again. I don't think any result is a given in the fiery cauldron of a local derby and although Plymouth have improved recently (apart from last week), anything other than a win will feel like points dropped and will have to be picked up elsewhere if we are to mount another promotion challenge! COYY!

I can remember a few years back that we were on an unbeaten run of 13 games or so and York who we were playing hadn't won for 13 games. Result a draw. We will never have a better time to beat our Cornish cousins than now. I'd like to think that we will hammer them but will take a 95 minute winner. Jammy beggars - let's hope like Exeter did they give thief tv money back to the folk they owe money to.

I hope we show them no mercy whatsoever and smash them. They are cheats and should be shown no respect. Humiliate them on behalf of all the people they have cheated out of money, all the honest teams they have cheated points from and all the fans in Devon that have had to put up with their"big club" bollox.

well we have now won four on the trott scoring 12 conceding 1,and i didnt see any of those games, back on saturday for this one i just hope and pray i dont put the mockers on it for us.If we play as per the last four games we should win,but derby games are perculiar affairs often decided on one opportunity taken, lets hope its us.If we do beat them on saturday and other results go against them then they are really in danger of losing their league status, with a hell of a lot to do there on in

I remember the 99/00 game at home. Not something I want to relive. Terrible day. Revenge would be nice

Mmmmm...Plymouth Argyle...bottom of the football league, conceeded three goals against a non league club last week! We won away against a league one team last week, scoring three and should have scored three more...should be a bit of a pushover...not! Heart says 3:0 head says 1:1!

Well looking at the way they fluked a draw in the cup last weekend they looked clueless. They have got the two players sent off last week suspended and have also got Fletcher suspended as well. If ever their was a chance to give them a spanking it was now. Must admit that I would go to this one if the ground wasn't such a farce. I see that Risdale is looking to bring in a striker and a centre half by the weekend, and is looking for players with Championship experience. Is he actually sane? Knowing us we will no doubt somehow manage to contrive to lose this game so I will happily tip a Plymouth victory, hoping to be proved wrong.

Craig Sutherland is from Blackpool - Holloway obviously has a soft spot for Argyle - 22 years old and made eight starts for them so far but mostly from the subs bench. I don't think he has scored for them yet. Some Plymouth fans disappointed that he is not a targetman. I still think that their midfield is weak as they have a couple of injuries there in addition to three suspensions in that area. Not sure why you are not going to this one meerkat?

This bloke apparently came to Blackpool from North Carolina University - which is about as far away as you can get from a league two derby. Wouldn't be too worried by this signing though - they need a couple of players but are hamstrung by the three suspensions.
