Have a great holiday mate! thanks aussie,the kids here are so different,they show respect and manners despite many of them coming from poor backgrounds,been here 12 days so far,two days heavy rain and cold,the rest tipping past the 100 mark at day ;D .........when we were there, in the winter of 1999, on HMS FEARLESS - we were alongside the jetty in Varna, and we were clearing the ship of gash (ie form a chain, pass the gash-bags down the gangway into a skip on the jetty etc) and as we started chucking the bags into the skip, two kids jumped out - they had been living in there! - one of them grabbed a pair of old steaming bats (steely toe-capped Naval footwear to the uninitiated) that had burst out of a gash-bag and was running around with 'em, holding 'em up like they were the World Cup - tell ya what, they breed 'em bleddy tough in Bulgaria!!!!......... |
