Its past your bedtime Merse , I do not know of one person taken in as you put it, the remarks raised have only been about the remarks make about Sean.

Think that Gilbert needs to come out of his/her costume and explain what he/she has written. I may write from afar but my first thoughts are that the contribution is neither positive or helpful to the club. In fact I find it rather scurrilous and would like the club to review who they are 'employing' to wear this costume.Am I over-reacting or do others find this unpleasant? Am I mistaken then Dave? ...................and to compound matters, you responded to Adem by saying "Gilbert The Gull Is Part Of Our Club"Check out the whole thread and then tell me my view is obscure.

Gilbert the Gull, is part of the club, you see him at home match days, while I except that the blog has nothing to do with or is written by the person who is the current Gilbert, the blogger is using the name of Gilbert and has made the site look like it is part of Torquay United. Your own past views on .net have been that they use Torquay United in their name and therefore those not in the know, may think that site is connected to the club. The same could also be said about Gilberts blog, so such an entry as the one we are talking about, is in my view not helpful or indeed what the club would want to see. midlandstufc, was unaware that the blog was written by someone else and not the clubs Gilbert, this only goes to prove my point. It would also be better I feel for to to just post your views, without the need to put in such lines as I despair at the naivety and stupidity of some people on here I really do.Many of our members will see such comments as no more than a personal insult to those you are aiming such remarks at, this is a friendly forum and we encourage our members to have respect for all other members.

Not strictly accurate Dave, I said that sites reflected on clubs they appertained to; which they do. Why portray a fans' community as all singing, all dancing all "happy clappy" when a single visit to a match proves otherwise..................at any club. So are there folk on here who believe that Bambers' Right Foot was written by a dysfunctional penalty taker who lost his Wembley bottle? Do they then reckon one of the contibutors of that magazine could be found on an East End fish stall? Perhaps then they believe that John Motson is a six inch midget who lives in the back of their telly!

It's the way of the internet world that a blogger can say just about anything without recourse, unless someone actually takes the time to find out who they are!! Hiding behind a made-up name happens all the time, although it is a little more dangerous (for the blogger) to use a name that is closely associated with TUFC, as on this occasion.
I agree with others that the 'Crazy Sean' comment could just be a little over the top, but it is a well written blog by someone with fairly obvious professional talent, cutting down the list of people I think could be behind it to around five...and before anyone asks, no it is not me, although some of the subject matter I have been tempted to write about before on here.
And as Merse so eloquently suggests, some people need to stop being so 'gullible' and believing everything they read on the internet.

Andy it is indeed very well written and some could be forgiven, if they felt you were the writer as you are also very clever at writing.
As Sean considers you a friend, you would never make such comments about him and I can rule out another good writer on here, due to his lack of PC skills. I have enjoyed reading it and will continue to do so.
As we know on forums most use a user name, some like you me and Merse are know to many by our real names, but user names are fine and as long as what is posted is acceptable, then by hiding behind a user name many more will post on the forum.

IF you wanted to quell the debate on such matters posting a link to the blog of an unnamed commentator is sure a funny way of going about it!
