Buster It's just the Seagulls that I would like to see them eradicated from the urban areas of Torquay, especially mine. I would also like to go further and fine (also prison for persistant offenders) anyone that feeds or allows them to nest. Other Gulls I don't mind. Chelston

Must have missed the summer debate but gawd how I hate them. I blame the people who let them nest on the roofs etc - fine them and/or stick them in prison. Mr Bye is mssing a trick, levy a tax on anyone caught with a nest on their roof. I still cannot believe they are a protected species - ruddy rats with wings. Grrr (shakes fist)

Jim will love hearing you say that Phil, yet he works in a zoo where the key word is conservation, I agree that we need to stop them nesting on roofs etc, but come on mate they were here first

Dave, I long for the day when it will no longer be an offence to cull a seagull. I wish that bloke from ellacombe with his Hawk would move over here.
Better go and get a drink, can feel my blood pressure rising.
See you tomorrow!!

Don't be naive enough to get suckered into believing that the Bible is the be all and end all reference book on "God", Gods or spiritual belief. The bible is a work of political expediency cobbled together using selective references to the teachings of the Abrahamic belief in the Old Testament and the followers of Jesus Christ in the New. Even bitter old Leviticus omitted Seagulls from his diatribe of misery although I have good reason to believe that a reference to "thalt shall not feck an Argylemaid" was removed from his rantings by the Plymouth Bretheren in a vain attempt to divert their road to ruination through inbreeding.

Think that Gilbert needs to come out of his/her costume and explain what he/she has written. I may write from afar but my first thoughts are that the contribution is neither positive or helpful to the club. In fact I find it rather scurrilous and would like the club to review who they are 'employing' to wear this costume. Am I over-reacting or do others find this unpleasant? You're over-reacting. Massively. Why on earth should somebody's blog be either positive or helpful to the club? Oh, and if you find this 'scurrilous', you probably should get out more. Responses such as this one highlight exactly why the writer of this excellent blog has chosen to go about his business so quietly in the past.

Well one reason adem is, gilbert the gull is a part of our club, the remarks about Sean are untrue anyway and its my view that such remarks should not have been made. Sure Sean would not be to happy if he had read it.

"Gilbert The Gull" the blogger is no more the club mascot than I was Leroy's wife as "Mrs Rose Senior"I despair at the naivety and stupidity of some people on here I really do. The blogger is London based and actually very good on this project and displays a sound educational and journalistic talent. Whilst I would take issue with his view that "Crazy Sean" had "slagged the club off in the press" he is under no obligation to "toe the club line" and why should he? A very entertaining and amusing blogger! ..................and yes, there is much concern within the industry of Setanta's financial stability and therefore their liklihood of staying the course next season.
