Crikey !!! Halpin on .... He wouldn't get a look in at Buckland He is not afraid to have a run at defenders and get a shot away if he can, but in saying that I don't think the changes are going to do to much for our chances of winning the match.

Robertson at RB, Mansell in central midfield.
Very disappointing to be so outplayed by an 'off-form' team

Are now playing with ALL three CB - what formation? Robertson out to right back and Mansell into midfield, I guess Halpin is out on the left wing and Zebs up front with Kee and maybe Robinson on right? or Kee on right and Robinson beside Zebs? who knows? Steve Breed feels we don't have a game plan.

15 mins to go and a great run and shot by Stanley gets cleared off the line, Branston pulled down in their box and Mr Breed screams for a spot kick, but the ref has not given it.

Does sound listening to what Steve Breed said, we did not get off the team bus and were guilty of being half asleep at times. Not sure what happened to the team I watched on Saturday afternoon as they would have walked this match tonight.
We hopefully will get a few match reports from some TFF members at the game and it will be interesting to see if they agree with everything Steve Breed has said on the radio.
Its games like this we need to be winning if we are really going to get into the play-off’s. A good win tonight after our win on last Saturday, would have helped to get a few more up at Plainmoor this Saturday.
You have to ask why Bucks started the game with players in different positions than they played in our last game, Stevens is simply not big enough to be starting in the middle and needs to be out on the wing where he can use his pace. It also sounds like we changed formation so many times no one knew in the end what formation we were meant to be playing.
A very disappointing result and mostly because it seems we were very poor and maybe Aldershot deserved to win in the end.
1939 at the match and not sure how many TUFC fans made up that figure.
Let’s hope Bucks can bring in some new players sooner rather than later as our squad lacks any depth and we do not have the players on the bench who can come on and turn games around.
Final words from Steve Breed, utter rubbish, he was referring to how we played.

Depressing listening.....against what sounds like a poor Aldershot side who haven't won in ages.
Never got off the bus.....seems an appropriate summing up.
Forget promotion.....we're not consistent enough.

If the game was as bad as it sounded on the radio, you have to feel sorry for all our fans that made the effort to get there on a Tuesday night. How can a team be so outstanding in one match and so poor in the next one?
As I said in a post I made yesterday, just when you think we are about to go over the top of the rollercoaster, we slip back down again. Its going to be another big game this Saturday at home and we will need to find the form we found in the second half against Stevenage last Saturday, if we are not going to end up losing again.
I expect Bucks will be on the phone all day tomorrow, trying to bring in a few new players, we sure need some if our hopes for this season are not going to just slip down the plughole.

First 20 minutes we passed it around nicely, but neither side in a very nothingy first half looked prepared to step up a gear. I had a good view of the Branston penalty shout. Seen them given, seen them not. The lino that side was the best placed official but like the Gulls in the second half, he didn't fancy making a decision.
Full marks to Stanley who showed more attacking intent than his shot shy counterparts it that one long run alone. Zebs had one chance that he skewed to the left of their post from right side of the edge of the area, but barring that, I can't think of much else in the way of threat all evening.
We seemed to have so much possession and the playing it out of defence in the first period was laudable at times. However, we had no bite in the final third whatsoever. Second half was just pish.
Had a poor view of their goal. Looked like a taller more commanding keeper would have come out and captured the cross that led to it, but not clear. FlappyPottski nearly gifted them one in the first half as well, but we scrambled away ok.
Local bragging rights well and truly gone for me on the back of two 0-1 reverses to that lot this season. You don't go up having not got a point off Aldershot in a season. It's the 11th commandment.
Out of 10 Potter 4 (catch it) Manse ('ave it) 7 Branston ('ave some more) 6 Robbo 6 Nico 5 O'Kane (Did he play?) 5 Stanley 8 Pringle 7 Stevens 8 in first half bursts, 6 in general Zebs (first touch was pretty poor all night) 5 Robinson (not a good night for him) 5 Kee 5
Good night all.

Too tired to post a full match report. Not sure what Steve Breed was on about by all accounts. We weren't great for most of the game, but neither were Aldershot. Yes we let in a sloppy goal, but defensively we were alright for most of tonight. Occasionally you get dull matches when two fourth tier teams play each other midweek. Fans and commentators have to deal with that.
Stanley was excellent tonight. Zebs put in a huge shift as well. Not all that impressed with O'Kane, who didn't really offer anything. He's been really busy when I've seen him play away this season, but he didn't get the ball tonight. Not sure about Billy Kee myself. His workrate isn't in doubt, but his physique irritates me. I know folk who work 40+ hours a week and manage to look lean by fitting exercises into their busy schedules. Billy's a professional athlete FFS....there's no reason why a man paid to play sport for a living should be carring an arse around that big. Sort it out Buckle.
