"One Paul Buckle, there's only one Paul Buckle" the section of the pop side i stood on sang at the end of the game today - and rightly so. Its the first time I've heard it sung and, in my opinion, it should have been sung a long time ago. Take a bow gaffer the team you sent out today did us proud.
It was an inspired decision to move Mansell back into midfield alongside Wroe. Carlisle's midfield were energetic and aggressive so by moving Lee in there we were able to match them up. This was key to us winning today.
Some of the football we played today was beautiful. O'Kane spraying lovely balls all over the place, players linking up with intricate one touch passing, searching passes cutting down the Carlisle flanks. Anyone who says the football we play is boring needs their eyes testing.
We also had grit and determination where it mattered. Branston deserving of special praise for continually putting his head in when and where it mattered. Nicho was superb. Benyon never stopped running, creating chance after chance from lost causes where other strikers would have shown no interest.
Every player put in a shift today and surely its about time they/we were rewarded with a decent draw?
PS - another disappointing attendance but we all know they'll come out of the woodwork should a trip to a decent Premier League club come out the hat.

yep the pickler deservedly got mom,but as has already been said we were terrific all over the pitch today, when we get it all sorted as a team we are very hard to beat.It was blatantly obvious that PB has had words on the training pitch,we were well up for it,you have got to hand it to him, just when you think the bubble is about to burst,he pulls another rabbit out of the hat,he is definitely a cool customer, who lets nothing fluster him at all. After the draw tomorrow, chelsea away please, its back to the bread and butter of the league,21 points for safety then anything else is a real bonus, well done to everyone associated with the club today,a day to remember

Lovely photos. I wish I had that bloke's camera and lens!
What was the price today? Was it reduced like the Walsall cup tie?

Nothing much more to add on a rare home game for me...each and every player was fantastic from start to finish. Wroe and Robbo were a little shaky at time but Carlisle offered so little it wasn't really a problem. O'Kane was a standout, as was Branno. Elliot absolutely ran himself into the ground too. Referee was absolutely diabolical today, but provided the best moment of the game when he finally gave a decision our way, he got a full standing ovation from the whole ground! Terrific atmosphere today as well - big congrats to everyone there, and here's hoping for that big tie in the next round!

I do not believe for one second that Paul Buckle had learnt the famous TUFC forker Aussie had got so upset this week about playing 4-4-2 at home, so he went and changed it. I expect he watched and watched over again the video of the Oxford game and expecting a first division team to try and put us under plenty of pressure, changed it for that reason instead.
Robertson when he first played at right back looked a liability but over time grew into the position and playing him there today was a very sound decision by Paul Buckle. Mark Ellis was a different player today than the one we saw in the Oxford match, having Guy along side him seemed to lift the whole defensive weight he was carrying on his shoulders that he must have felt with no Guy on the pitch, all fell on him.
Having Mansell back in midfield also played a very big part in our win and now we know we can play 4-4-2 at home and still have O’Kane playing in the side, so that gets rid of any arguments we can only play 4-4-1-1 if he is selected.
To win games such as this one you need to work your socks off for the whole 90 minutes and every single player sure did that. What so impressed me was our neat and tidy passing that just got better and better as the game went on. I was also impressed when one of our players was closed down, how cleverly they found a pass to keep hold of possession of the ball. So often you felt they would have the ball robbed off their toes and then a super quick pass got them out of trouble.
The only worrying time was right near the end of the game when he were content to sit back and not get out of our box. It’s a dangerous game to play sitting on a one nil lead and the fans were screaming for the players to push up.
There was an almighty goal mouth scramble at the death and we got blocks on shots, cleared off the line a few times and when we finally got the ball clear, you just knew that was it and the danger had passed and we would win the match.
This win was so deserved and the result was the correct one, it would have been very cruel and unfair on the team if they had got the ball over the line in that goal mouth scramble and we had to go up there for a reply.
What we need now is all that effort and hard work rewarded as it should be and that means a draw away against one of the biggest clubs. Such a draw would earn our club a small fortune. Still it was a good pay day today for the club and the only shame really is too many fans missed one of those special games. The prize money won today will help cover the low gates we have been suffering and for that the club I’m sure are grateful (might even be able to pay back some loans to a few directors) as without the win and the money, the rest of this season might have had another picture to it.

Lovely photos. I wish I had that bloke's camera and lens! What was the price today? Was it reduced like the Walsall cup tie? It might have been a woman ;D as there was one taking photos along side a male photographer. I sent a big thank you to Tim for not only the speed getting the pictures to the TFF, but the quality and the quantity. I only wish we one a third round FA cup game every week. ;D

I didn't say we can't play him in a 4-4-2. I said that we had to think about playing him where we would get the best out of him. If he's going to be as effective on the right wing at home as he is in a free role away from home then that's fantastic. I feared he would get lost in the middle of the park.

You doing an Aussie on me Chris My remarks were not aimed at you, a lot of fans I have talked with have held the view we have to play 4-4-1-1 if we are going to play O'Kane. I totally agree he would get lost in midfield and today he showed he can play on the right wing. It was not that long ago when fans were saying he was no good on the wing and needed to be played in midfield. I expect his performance on the right wing owed more to the fact his whole game as come on leaps and bounds since he has been getting regular starts in the team.

Looking at the photos of Euuuunan it would be hard to imagine such a mere stripling made up of sinew, skin and bones can hit the ball so bloody hard and accurately! It's been said many times now on the TFF but he is such an incredibly talented player. I would encourage anyone to watch him as much as possible while you can - surely this lad is going to rise upwards very soon.
Interesting comments from Bucks from the .com site: "The money from a Cup run is massive and I will sit down with the chairman to work out a plan for going forward, and there are lots of things that need to improve. Our training ground is not up to standard at the moment and there is so much to improve."
It is heartening to hear. I'm not convinced that Bucks will be off to Rovers this week, I think that improvement of training facilities is vital to further progression as a professional football club. Today's result shows again the fine line between progression and stagnation.

Last 32 that's a hell of an achievement for a club like ours and what a great atmosphere and team spirit there was today. A nail biter at times, we just couldn't kill the game off with chance after chance going begging I thought we would blow it after some early defensive collywobbles but we held on and every single player played their part today with one or two outstanding performances notably Okane and Benyon. No he didn't score today but Elliots tireles running for lost causes played a very important role in the victory and Eunans energy and vision was again above anything Carlisle had to offer. Danny Stevens also deserves a mention its almost as if he came of age today so good technically and with the ball , took the wrong option on occasions but played his part. Fast running out of time to see our club pull a real biggy in the cup the last notable and memorable FA cup draw was Spurs in the early sixties a year or two to soon for me though my late father was in the crowd of 21,000 odd that day. Yes we've had the Sheffield Wednesdays and Coventry's etc but that one stands out for many reasons and a similar draw tomorrow is what we ALL deserve for our loyalty and patience .
