There hasn't been much home action in the league recently, (1 game since the end of October) so hopefully a good win is on the cards to warm the old cockles. The Rotherham match a year ago still grates in that we were the better team for much of that match before going down to a couple of late goals. As always, Le Fondre is the elephant in the room, (possibly not the best metaphor ) and the defence will have to be at their best against him! I think Buckle has a lot of options for this match, the first of which is what formation to play. Although, the extra midfielder has worked well away, maybe 4-4-2 is a better option for the home crowd and with Kee scoring a hat trick in the week, maybe this is time for him to start with Benyon. In midfield, Lathrope or Oastler? Is Hemmings back, otherwise Rose or Stevens. Should O'Kane start. Defence is pretty solid apart from right back - Mansell, Robertson or even Senda with the formation utilised maybe even influencing that selection. As always everyone will have their own opinion. Can we end our bad run of one defeat in nine or improve on three wins in fifteen league games or more importantly one win in the last six league home games.

We need to asign someone to kick lumps out of Le Fondre or have him strechered off to minimise their threat! And on a serious note what we really need to do is man mark the geezer out of the game and pick a formation that can work with that in mind! Rotherham have always been big and strong so to play small skillfull players generally doesn`t work, you have to out muscle them but also retain some skillfull play to capitalize. They have an all important and powerful weapon at their disposal, `The Chuckle Brothers`, their " to you, to me" passing style is very impressive!

Senda is one player who won't be featuring tomorrow as has left the club today according Twitter. It's a real shame that he was so badly hit by injuries, he showed that he could be a decent player for us against Morecambe before he injured his hamstring. 2 45 minute appearances since his debut and a run in the reserves is something that hasn't provided the sort of cover or options that the squared needs.
Fancy seeing Kee get a start on Saturday.

There should be no problems with the game going ahead and I hope you have an enjoyable stay in Torbay once again( plus you take some nice pictures to show us all) as I'm sure we won the last game you came over for. Yes Rob those two late goals were sickener's as we were most definably the better team and so maybe we can play as well in this game and get the result we deserved last season. Having not watched some recent games and not seeing one or two of our loan players play, I can't really say what line up I would like to see play. I do feel Kee deserves a start and we should really play two up front at home as far as I'm concerned and so I would start with Benyon as well. The home fans are due a good home win and it would be great if that happened and we followed that up with wins in our other Christmas games.

Good covering of overnight snow where I am and more forecast later today. Any in Torbay? Temperatures overnight Friday / Saturday forecast to be below zero throughout Devon so with the recent postponement in mind is our game in any danger at this stage? Anybody know? Modify: I see Dave has answered the first question as I was posting

Modify: I see Dave has answered the first question as I was posting 6 inches of snow in Wales overnight. Drove to work, just about and it is still coming down thick and fast. I hope to get down tonight/tomorrow morning as I have monday off mand lots of jobs planned plus the game. Hope it is not called off if I make this effort

Having looked at the BBC weather, I doubt very much that the match will be on! Which in some ways is good, because I think Rotherham will beat us with consumate ease!
Glad that Lathorpe is on the mend and hopefully Hemmings will be a father by now so he's back in the side.

Realistically I can see a 1-3 scoreline, with benyon scoring our only goal, that is of course presuming the game still goes ahead!

All council owned pitched in both Torbay and Newton Abbot have been ruled as unusable on Saturday. Some games on private owned pitches may well still go ahead, but most of the local fixtures will not go ahead.
With so many local payers being at a lose end, lets hope some will decide to get up to Plainmoor and they sure would be a welcome boost to our falling gates.
Ant and I will now be going to the game and I’m so looking forward to not only being inside Plainmoor, but saying hello to a good number of TFF members. Despite the weather forecast, I’m very confident the game will go ahead and hopefully it will be a good enjoyable game and one that we win.
