If it wasn't for a home draw in the FA Cup, then it would have been the only match at Plainmoor this month. After narrowly winning here last year Barnet were drawn into a relegation battle and haven't had the best start and are yet to win away in the league this season.
With a few injuries in the squad recently - Rose, Branston, Charnock and Senda, probably a good week to have no mid week game. Of course, Macklin is still suspended so maybe a few changes in the line up.
Hopefully, with the kids and students offers there will be a decent crowd to cheer the team on as I still think it will be a close game and could be difficult to break them down.

...and are yet to win away in the league this season. and only one draw....adding to that they have an appalling defensive record... scoring only 7 times and conceding 20 on the road... by far and away the worst in League 2... boring 0-0 on the cards then!

...ah, splendid! - another Sat match for me to attend at the Theatre of Nightmares/House of Eternal Pain - good news as I can't normally get to home midweekers due to night shifts.......
.........looking forward to turning up outside T'Dark Place at approx 1330 on this Saturday afternoon for the usual meet-up with our own "Three Aaaarr-migos" Dave "ooh, mind me 'and, I'm on Cortisone mate" Le Taxi, Auld 'Un "we wear short shorts" Badders and of course "The Chairman Of The Board" himself, Ol' Greybeard, Derek "Elliot Bunion" The Black (he of the dark, dark heart) - there must be well over 150 years-worth of TUFC supporting in this group of three alone........
....."turned out nice again"........

I can`t wait for this match really, really up for it. I got my yellow pages done and the drum ready.
Remember it`s kids for a quid and Students for £6 which is a fabulous deal for any students really. Hope people turn up, spread the news if you can, we need as much support as possible

...and Students for £6 which is a fabulous deal for any students really......... ...but the rebate probably won't pay the fine for any rounded up by Old Bill after todays' proceedings Smoke way........... ....and the H/T entertainment being provided by this weekends' student element of the home attendance....... .....that peculiarly English autumnal hobby of long-distance fire-extinguisher tossing, along with policemans' helmet-throwing, formation glass-smashing and bonfire-dancing....... ........Student protest, don't make I fackin' laugh, more like a rent-a-mob hijack (sound familiar anyone), and they REALLY think the World Cup may be coming here in 2018, now that those scenes have been no doubt beamed world-wide by Sky/BBC News 24 live as they happened etc?..................... .......taxi for Boris and the Mets' Police Commissioner? - I very much doubt it, from my experience in my RN days anyway, responsibility for things travelled upwards, shiit-slinging for aforementioned things invariably downwards at an equivalent speed............. .......just wondering how the Feds Stateside would have handled this one?........... ...and as for the Olympics in 2012 - gonna end in tears before bedtime, mark my words - anyone got a spare water-cannon?............... ........."Our Tune" for today - "Rubber Bullets" by 10cc.........

No Zebs through suspension I beleive so we may struggle at both ends of the pitch his forward play and tracking back has been instrumental in our success. Last seasons defeat to the Bees when we couldn't handle their pace down the flanks nearly cost the torquay career of KN who was singled out as the main culprit at the time so we really must be on our guard in that respect. There are no easy games and no forgone conclussions and they performed ok against Charlton last week so will be looking to build on that result no doubt. We on the other hand desperately ned to improve oyur home form which is generally prety poor. Confident of a narrow win but not overly so. 2-1...

The official site incorrectly reported that it was Zeb's fourth booking in last week's match report but I suppose there are worse matches for him to miss.
If Rose is out injured together with Macklin and Zebs suspended it would on first glance leave us a little light on the wings. Surprisingly, we still have Stevens, Hemmings, O'Kane, Carlisle and Halpin that can play there.

For me it would have to be Carlisle. I think his defensive qualities are far the best and against fast wingers we need that cover for our back four, especially Nicholson. That said I have not seen enough of Hemmings to pass comment on him. I think that Wayne's lack of match fitness may mean that Stevens starts ahead of him. We have has a bucket full of rain here in Taunton overnight with more forecast for tomorrow....whats the pitch like Aussie?

Don`t worry it drains beautifully, it`s being mowed as I type, just in case anyone is wondering why the flood lights are on! It looks fantastic and should be just fine.

This may seem a strange question, but why the hell are they mowing the pitch at night! The club have been pleading poverty for the last two seasons...so why use all that electricity?

On the official site: Branston and Rose are still doubts for Saturday. Carlisle may be off to another club this week with interest from another club elsewhere. Still interest for Charnock who is out injured anyway.

Have you not noticed the the weather, you have to mow it when you get half a chance, or do you know of a Mother Nature switch that you can turn off or on again? Seen the weather forcast, it needs cutting before the game so it gets cut when the oportunity arises! It`s called common sense mate or would you rather we played on a pitch that hasn`t been prepared!
