whats happened to the city link banner? its not on the main stand ..and why did Bevan's shirt have no sponsor or even club badge on it? Or have i missed something... Aaaaaahhhhhh Sultana played Yellow by Coldplay after..bloody cliche. Memories of the Yellow songsheet day but no one telling me in the Pa Room!!! |

I have no idea Dave, I was just making a [rubbish] joke  Brett, Bevan had a blank shirt on Saturday too. I would also like to know why. And as for playing Yellow at the end of the game, that is priceless!  |

Thanks Louise_M, do you know what happened to the banner? I can understand about the shirt, just can't think why the banner would be taken down, seeing It has been there for some time now.

We just don't sponsor the stand anymore, so I assume it's open to sponsorship

Thanks Louise for your answer, I guess It must have been about a year ago that the sponsorship stated so I expect the time was up.

I have heard nothing about anything going pear shaped, but the chairman said in the HE the other day, that things were difficult for the club, fans and the sponsors. He was referring to the credit crunch, I would not think many company's are not feeling the effects at this time. Not saying this has anything to do with what you have heard, I'm sure If there were any problems our club will let us know Won't they ;D |

Like Vinny I heard the same on saturday. I decided not to post about it in case I turned a rumour into a fact.
Seems like the person at Plainmoor was correct.
The statement on dotnet just states that the youth team sponsorship and ancilliary arrangements will change, but the shirt sponsorship will remain unchanged. There is no explanation as to why, which leaves fans guessing as to whether it was a financial decision or a disagreement between parties.
It would be interesting to know which lead to the decision, however I accept that these things are sensitive.
