Australia all out for 227 - surely we level the series from here? Level the series? Thought we had already won it weeks ago. Somebody said we are playing in Australia in October. Just how many series are there against Australia in a year? Still I suppose there isn't a lot of interest in cricket across the World so not many countries play it. Must be a bit like when the World's oldest football club kept having to play the World's second oldest football club because there wasn't anybody else to play!

A narrow win in the cricket is at least small consolation to the Rochdale defeat today.

I have a nasty feeling they are going to pinch this series. They have a decent bowling attack its just the batting which might let them down. Obviously injuries could make a difference.
As for us I hope Prior is fit soon as Bairstow hasn't done much in tests behind the stumps and every mistake he makes will be analysed over and over again. Just hope our third seamer doesn't just bang the ball halfway down the pitch as they will get picked off more often than none.

Hi daz,I hope prior is fit, don't think Barstow up to test standard behind stumps, don't know which keepers have gone on the epp ......that was a fair point bout bowling halfway down wicket,I always felt broad tended to bowl to short,he seems to sorted that......we definetly have the bowling attack on them bouncy wickets......plenty of chin music for them Aussies ha ha ......oh and the ashes will be returning to our shores to mate......si

Good to see Broady getting into them just before lunch. Just as Warner and ShaneBW were looking settled. My favourite bit of commentary so far as the 'We know what you did last summer, Broad' banner shown........ 'Yes, he won the Ashes'

Buggered if I can understand it. I saw on the news a report saying that England were on top in the Test Match, then I look at the score and see that Australia are heading towards 300 runs and we haven't scored any! Nearly 300-0 down and we are on top? Crazy game!

Morning all, well we seem to be in of predicament at the moment.....just like our beloved gulls.....both backs against the wall....and rest of assured we will out fighting.......ok some might say you talking might say you talking gruddocks si.....great word that by the way ha ha......captain cook and kp in his 100th test.....stage is set for some good ole English fight and grit....even though kp is a springbok, but besides the point.......ok 530 to win from here,....180 overs to be bowled that's just less than 3 an over...wickets in hand not a problem....failing that hope it pisses down and get draw ha ha .....si.....
