Well the final ashes test for the summer, job done, don't think we have played our best cricket by a long way, like to see TREMLETT given a run out tomorrow, usually a lot of runs scored at the oval, but on the other hand wicket does turn later in the game alot, so maybe England may decide to play 2 spinners and bring Kerrigan in.....see the Aussies have named there starting 11 already, chopped and changed again, don't honk they have a clue what there best 11 is.....anyway expecting us to seal the series 4 -0 and end the test series on a high......si

As long as we don't lose, will go above India in the rankings! Looking at the weather forecast and our respective batting line ups then suspect it will be another result pitch.
Nice that one of the teams I follow is winning at the moment but would gladly swap an Aussie win for our boys to win at sixfields this weekend!

I see we've started handicapping now. Stronger team has just three bowlers and five batsmen.
If we're going to play two spinners, it is a shame that Monty P is indisposed.
I remember years ago Hurricane Higgins got himself into trouble for relieving himself in a pot plant at the Crucible.
The next day he made an ambitious attempt to pot a red by playing another red on to it.
The commentator gleefully exclaimed "Higgins took a wild slash at that plant".
If Monty were playing, the TMS team would be desperate for him to play a loose stroke at a short-pitched delivery.
"Panesar took a wild slash at that bouncer".

Nice one, otherwise known as extracting the urine! What has cricket come to? Next you will be telling that not all batsman walk when out.

Morning all, welll what an end to the series, thought we were going to it,but on the whole job done by the 3rd test, personally don't think we have been at our best in the series, belly has grown into 1 of the best batsmen in world cricket at the moment, was good to see we just relied on our top 3 batsmen, everybody has performed when it mattered,we have alot more to come when it starts again in November, don't think for 1moment we will get carried by this ashes win,few tweaks here and there.......was a brave call from Clarke to declare when he did to try and force a results.....was a bit narked to say the least when it ended in that farce, but when you take stock rules are rules I suppose.......just ask the question what would of happened if that depended on the result of the series, wandered what would of happened then.......we will never know will we......what a moment that was when were presented with that little urn, that little trophy means so much.....and when JERUSALEM is blasted out,I get goosebumps on goosebumps....am so proud to be an England cricket fan, long may it continue......like am proud to be to a TORQUAY UNITED fan to......better go and sort my head out now ha ha.belting hangover.......si

Yes Si, was out with family and relatives yesterday but thought it was a nailed on draw after we avoided the follow on. Didn't realise Clarke had set a very generous follow on target and in the end very lucky to get away with his gamble. Very gripping following the game at the end and was a bit like a 20/20 game!

What an absolute farce! The only time there was any excitement in 5 games and they all walk off with only 24 balls left to bowl. Every paying customer at the Oval should get a full refund and Sky Sports contributors should have their subscription refunded. It's bordering on the criminal offence of obtaining money by deception. Whatever is the matter with these people who farcically call themselves sportsmen? They won't play if it rains and now they won't play if the sun goes behind a cloud. Wasted an hour of my life watching England chasing what looked to be an achievable target only for it to end in anti-climax. Still that's cricket for you! Any resemblance between cricket and sport is purely coincidental so thank goodness we are well and truly in the football and rugby season now!

Yes, it was a farce and hopefully the rules will be changed on the back of this because cricket was a big loser today with no recourse to a bit of common sense. It may be well into the football and rugby season but surely you haven't forgotten the away fixture down under? Bet you are secretly looking forward to it!

On Saturday I went to Taunton for England Lions v Bangladesh A one day international. Loads of runs and Bangladesh won by 4 wickets with an over to spare. First visit to Taunton for 30 years so on that basis I will be 91 the next time
