I went to North Weald market in Essex today. I had to get some keys cut and served by a lady on a stall who was none other than Paul Buckle's cousin. Now there's a life changing moment for you all! ;D

I do not know where Paul comes from, do you know If It is just the place his cousin moved too, or Is it the place the family live.

Bucks comes from Hatfield, Herts a mere thirty minutes drive away from North Weald......................Crooky, you saddo; why didn't you get your keys cut at Lakeside and leave the old woman to graze (oops sorry - gaze) at the shops whilst you hopped over to Ship Lane? I've always said, shopping on a Saturday is a mental illness! ;D

You should have seen the grin on my Anthony's face today when he handed over his own £2 coin to go through the turnstile...............the first time in his life he had done such a big thing. A good job he's got ears or the grin would have gone right round the back of his head and the top fallen off! Of course, Olivia then had to do the same thing although she wasn't strong enough to push the stile round! ;D

The last time I was at Ship Lane was to see one of my lads play in an FA youth Cup tie and ended up breaking up a brawl when it all kicked off after a red card. It's a well run club though in a depressing stretch of the Thames estuary.

Well Kev, good prices mate, tell me did you have anything to eat? If so how was the quality? If It was good, then It only proves my point, that good food, does not have to be the dearest.

To prove that It really Is a small world, I will tell you something that has made me very happy today. People my age, never had their photos taken very often as children. There may have been a camera In the house, maybe and old Brownie, that had to be taken to the chemist, to get the film out.
I only had about ten photo's Of me when I was young, but sadly some evil person, destroyed them all many years ago.I did find a person who had some photos of me, when I was young, not the same as the ones I had, but about the same age.
You may have read on here Merse and I talking about Newton Abbot and also Newton Spurs. Well when I was young I was the mascot, for Spurs and Often had my photo taken with the team, by th HE and these photos were in the paper.
I never had one photo myself, but after losing all my photos, I contacted D.T and asked If could see If such a photo was still on file. Sadly when the HE went digital, It did not keep everything and alas not any Of the Spurs team photo's.
So I gave up hope Of ever seeing, or having a copy for myself. The forum had a member join some time back, I knew the name and was sure It had to be someone I lived next door to as a kid.
Well last night he sent me a PM and yes I was correct It was the very same person, only he moved away from Newton a long time ago. So It must be 38 years since I have seen or heard from him.
Then this morning I find he has sent me another Pm and In he said he had a photo in his scrapbook, It was him in the Spurs team photo and yes me sat in the front as the mascot. He has said he will sent me a copy to the forum and I will put It up, when I get It, You really could not make this up.
So thanks Pete, you really have made me smile today and If you have any other photos Of you at Spurs feel free to put them on the forum.
