Merse your ignorance of Jones' political views are obvious. But while there are people like you around to ignore what's going on it will continue to do so. Maybe I am ignorant of his true views, but then so may YOU be. I'm not gullible enough to believe his promulgated ones however...................as I say, I just see him as a self promoting journo earning a corn from the very media circus he derides. Who knows what his true political view is? The sort of guy who'll be telling us that Brighton and Torquay Football Clubs are up to no good as we BOTH use the seagull as our logo and mascot. * Heaven help us if there is a draw on Saturday then * Thread skilfully brought back on track.................let's leave it there.

Again Aussie, I don't disagree with you but was really referring to Sills coming on as a sub towards the end of the match when one team may be chasing the game. When we last played Brighton two years ago, we certainly were more defensive but the team has improved immeasurably since and that gulf in class has shrunk somewhat and I think we can afford to play a more normal game. I see that we are one of only four league 2 teams left in the Cup. Although most of the other divisional teams are playing in the league tomorrow, the Darlington match has already been called off and I suspect that not many of the other matches will go ahead. If we have similar weather to today I see no reason as to why our match won't be proceeding and hopefully our league campaign won't be impeded by a backlog of fixtures relative to the rest of the division. In fact Darlington could end up with a fair old backlog but that will not make the difference to their survival chances. ( Maybe less of the case when it rain it pours and more of when it snows it drifts! ;D)

Steady on RJD! That`s twice in one day, I`ll start getting worried soon! I`m not used to people agreeing with me especially twice in a row! We could have kept it down to one if you were more specific in your primary post so it`s all your fault! ;D I`m gunna agree with you now just so you know how it feels! As far as the weather goes( which is usually right around the world ) tomorrow is going to be 2 degrees colder which might just freeze up a little bit but with a decent wind and a bit of sunshine there should be no danger of the game being threatened! Thing is I don`t trust the weather man, hedge betting mother lover that he is, it`s based on the same form of spread betting that all that star sign mumbo jumbo is based on! It`s b*ll*cks!

Aussie, if tomorrow turns out like it has to day, then it should be a nice afternoon to watch a game of football. The Bay woke up to a hard frost and it took to nearly 11am to really clear where I am in Paignton.
Since then the sun has been shinning brightly and there is not a cloud in sight and while there will be a nip in the air, as long as we don't get any wind, it should be very pleasant in the afternoon sunshine.
I would expect the pitch to be hard and as we know one part of the pitch struggles to get any sun on it, but hopefully the sun will get the temperatures up and help that part of the pitch.

Dave and Oz you pair of *&^%S. Here i am sitting in 30 degree heat in paradise thinking how lucky i am and then you 2 start talking about frosty games at Plainmoor. Nostalgia kicks in and i start remembering when! Damn your eyes! ;D There are few things i miss more than freezing my nuts off on the Pop and an FA Cup win. Sad but true. It's a long shot but i might be back in march for a visit, if we're still in the cup and we have a late winter my dream might yet come true!

I think the coldest I've ever been at a Torquay game was a new year match against Brighton - from memory we came back from a goal down. I was just about able to move my frozen limbs to celebrate...when would that have been? Looking forward to actually being able to get to tomorrow's game - although I'm fairly pessimistic about our chances.

stargull, you will need a good thick coat on but it won't be no where near as cold as it was when the youth team played Millwall, I reckon if you stand in the right place, you might even get a tan.

I was just about able to move my frozen limbs to celebrate...when would that have been? Remember it well! The Princess Gardens fountain was frozen that afternoon. 1 January 1997 - ex-Brighton favourite Garry Nelson got our winner.

Well of course I hope your pessimism is true, but don't be fooled by our 5-2 win at Wycombe ;D That followed a drab 0-0 against Leyton Orient believe me it was dire! Let's hope whoever wins, wins without controversy. Of course if it's a draw then we will welcome you to Withdean a week on Tuesday.

seagullone, we have been improving with every match and one of the main reasons is the loan players we have brought in, we will miss having zeb's upfront for us, but Tomson I'm sure will cause Brighton many problems.
As you say lets hope we can all talk about a great game on here tomorrow night, I will do a long match report and there should be plenty of others for you to read.
May the best team win

I think the coldest I've ever been at a Torquay game.................. I think this should be a thread in it's own right. For me at Plainmoor was the Boxing Day game with Argyle when I had to go to the home dressing room with my girlfriend who was in danger of collapsing and we had to wait whilst they moved the body of an old guy who had died from the dressing room to the treatment room. A game at Vicarage Road comes to mind as the coldest on the road when we had another FA Cup replay there and on returning to my car the only way to identify it amongst the assembled "Igloos" along the road was to get the flashers to come on by using my key ring!
