After a great fighting come back that saw our boys get the very much needed three points that were so important in our fight to stay up, we face a very hard game just two days later and one where we will need to see the same fighting sprite for the whole 90 minutes, if we are going to get anything from this game.
Its normally the case you don’t change a winning team and the players should all be fit enough to play two games in two games and I see no reason not to start with the same team who took to the field against Shrewsbury.
Its one of those games where a point may well be a very good result, but anything can happen during a game such as an own goal etc and we won’t care to much how we might get a win and what a great Easter Weekend it would be if we ended with getting all six points from our Easter games.

We`re planning on going tomorrow. Has anyone got any experience of car parking for sixfields? I see their OS says parking is now limited due to a fun fair taking up part of the car park. also costs £3.

Couldn't agree more Dave. In my opinion, one of the reasons why we have struggled so much this season is the constant changing of the team to allow for where or who we are playing. Omitting a winger or forward and bringing in Tyrone Thompson is a good example of this. Occasionally this tactic has worked, but based on results generally it has not, in fact it has removed the opportunity for the team to become settled. It is, in my opinion, a case of modern-day overthink which serves only to promote confusion among players and supporters alike.

Proper job! I can`t believe I`ve successfully got a post to work. Apologies for not having posted anything for months, its not been for the want of trying. A combination of internet explorer upgrade, virus, PC service & family commitments has hindered my access to the site & meant when I could access the site i couldn`t post anything. In desperation i even created the user name Milber (was used many moons ago on the original site). Thought i`d better explain that my absence hasn`t been due to a lack of interest and the change in user name was an act of desperation not deception. Milber (buster as was)

I am not so sure that Buckle won't make a change or two. He has got one or two players in reserve. Its probably a big ask for Benyon to produce his hard running style of game 48 hours later so would not suprise me if he was on the bench. Of course this might mean Zebroski playing up front but then we maybe forced to play a winger who not so good at defending. Tough call really though. Whatever happens though if we are sitting nine points clear of Grimsby after tomorrows match then we will be in a fantastic position.

My job recently took me to a bowlng alley just up the road from the ground, there's plenty of parking up there and can't be more than two minutes walk away so we should be fine.

My job recently took me to a bowlng alley just up the road from the ground I thought you worked for the railways mate. Had one of your drivers gone up the wrong track, or if it was one of them there "team bonding sessions" I could have recommended a very nice little establishment in Eversholt Street NW1 right next to Euston Station ~ we got "Bondy" bonded in there to a nice big African woman for less than thirty quid! As soon as he saw the flashing neon sign he bounded in there like a Kangaroo on heat. At least he got what he wanted as Stevo misinterpreted the malfunctioning " B O I N G" letters and crashed in through the doors on his pogo stick!

I thought you worked for the railways mate. Not anymore - took voluntary redundant last April. Now I get to look behind the scenes at bowling alleys... Will you be at the game today?

Maybe the line up will be similar to the Morecombe team with Smith in to compensate for Zebs up front? Alternatively, Thompson in a five man midfield with Rendell the lone ranger striker. An unlikely double but the only time this season we have won two successive games was when we ironically beat Northampton at home before going on to knock out Cheltenham in the FA Cup also at home. I would be more than happy for us to draw particularly if Grimsby lose again.

Hope you earn more than "pin money" then................no , although I planned to be there this afternoon, I myself earned little more than pin money on Good Friday and this morning's early start produced feck all either; so I don't have the funds as they say. Not an easy time by any stretch of the imagination I'm afraid.

on paper a home win,but this time of the season becomes more unpredictable. If we can display the same as we did second half on saturday anything could happen today, with the pressure eased a little i am hoping we can snatch a result here

TEAM: (4-4-2)
Bevan Robertson, Ellis, Branston, Nicholson Caryol, Mansell, Wroe, Zebroski Benyon, Rendell
Subs: Poke, Smith, Charnock, Rowe-Turner, Thompson, Stevens, O'Kane,Same starting eleven and bench as Saturday.....................almost unique in Easter time, two match football I would say! Maybe the "dark horse" danger to us today will be the referee....................... Darren Deadman is (let's say) a little bit adrift of the norm for a referee, always prone to go off at his own tangent is the polite way of putting it. "Bloody useless" in my sort of language!
