It would be interesting to see our would-be hangmen explain why the USA (with some of the highest rates of executions and incarceration in the world) has any crime at all... On the other hand, I agree that minds and positions are entrenched on this, and there's very little chance of a meaningful consensus. Besides which, I've got a busy day's jury service tomorrow So everyone thinks we`re both not wrong but both not right either, I`ve tried to meet you half way on this but you don`t want to budge, what does that say about your mind set, I`d say stuborn and arrogant! The USA is it`s own c0ck-up and their the ones who have gone p.c. mad the worst so your arguement doesn`t stack up, I`m dropping this as it`s now very boring and you don`t have an arguement of any merit!

I don't agree with virtually anything you've said on this subject. Call that 'stubborn and arrogant' if you like. I’d describe it as honest.

Aussie Aussie Aussie, when two people need to make an agreement or make plans for a new way forward they will talk and will in most cases have to meet somewhere in the middle. This is a forum Aussie where people can post their points of view, state what they believe and give their reasons for doing so. It is never a case when you state what you believe that you have to meet a person who does not share the same view point somewhere in the middle it simply does not work like that Aussie. I have my views and you have yours, we talk and explain why we hold the views we do, who is to say who is right or wrong,? we can listen to what we each have to say but we never have to change our own views if we feel nothing has been said that makes us want to change them. If I say I believe there is a god and I go to church and you say there is not a god, do I have to meet you in the middle and say there may be a god. If I believed there really was one and you offered nothing that would change my mind, would it then be right for you to say I was stubborn and arrogant just because I stuck to the views I held and what I believed. You have your views Aussie and they will at times not be shared by some others, but we have to respect the fact we are all entitled to hold our own views and when we disagree we simply say that we respect the persons right to hold those views, but could never agree with them
