Thanks nigep for your input I will just update things as they have moved on a bit from my last post. Richard is happy and grateful to anyone who can help and is also happy for the BBC to run the story. He is understandably reluctant to give an interview himself, but I understand he will as a last resort. I have spoke again with the BBC who should have by now spoken with both Richard and Grahame and they will be phoning me in the morning. It is felt the landlord who's name I now have is not going to budge one bit, I understand Teignbridge Council held talks with the landlord/Rendells, while I do not know how much effort they put into the talks, the landlord would not budge and that was the end of that. It has been suggested the family stay and fight, but I don't know it they really have the strength or heart to do that. The family are viewing a house on Thursday and I really hope it will be suitable for them to move too. The concerns are only for the effect a move will have on Megan herself as she is the most important consideration in all of this terrible mess. A move would also mean that the two biggest rocks the family have, Petef and his wife, will no longer just be next door. I'm sure if it is the case the family move to another house, that we can get together a work team on here to give all the help we can with any move.I will let you know if that will be something that may be required and then look for people who can give a bit of time to make any move as stress free as possible. As I said its believed the landlord will not change his mind, so I hope we can run the story on the BBC and name and shame both the landlord and Rendells, who have also been very guilty in all of this in my view. Dave If you need a van and a driver for any house move then i'm happy to help as i'm on a couple of weeks holiday. Can only get the van from work late morning'ish as they are all used before then. I`ll pitch in with lifting stuff!

Hello Dave, I had a call from Leigh at the BBC tonight, and was asked to ring Richard to see if he would be happy to be asked a few questions or participate in tomorrows news programme. I rang to pave the way but could only leave a message for him. I'm not sure if the BBC then got through to him, but I know they were going to try.
I havent heard back from leigh so I guess I will have to wait until tomorrow morning to find out if all is going ahead as proposed. Will keep you informed of any developments. Thanks mate.

Thank you all so much for your caring and unselfish efforts I would imagine that many of you are feeling just as outraged as I am . The members of this forum should be very proud . At least if little is achieved on the housing front your unselfish actions and offers of practical help may just help to renew Richard and Laurens faith in humanity once again and help them to continue the fight of their lives.

And it goes without saying (although I am saying it anyway) that you can definitely count me in to help with any move if all else fails and the b******s get their way and evict Megans family! Lets just hope that something positive comes from all our efforts Dave! You are very welcome Pete, and Richard and Lauren both know that we will move heaven and earth to help them!

Todays planned interviews with the BBC that was to be screened on the local news this evening had to be put on hold.
Megan's temperature has shot up very high and I believe she was taken back to Plymouth hospital this morning, her well being comes first and foremost and I will keep the thread updated with how she progresses.

Megan is at home at the moment and being treated with meds but her temperature keeps spiking. Megans dad, Richard, is in touch with the BBC spotlight team and hopefully things will get moving in the next few days all being well.
Will keep you all posted on things.

I have only had time for a brief read of this thread but am i right in understanding that the property is in deer park rd, decoy, just up the road from Keyberry Rd? I am sure that like me, many local people would help in some way if they were made aware of the actions of this ******* ******* **** heartless landlord. This families plight needs to be common knowledge among other parents who live in the area. A little basic but being very close to the local primary school what about with the families consent handing out flyer's at the school gates to help generate interest?

PRACTICAL HELP! There is an offer of really practical help..................self contained accomodation until the end of March on the Mid Devon Advertiser site today ~ read the latest comment of 19 ~ and I feel Nigel Bell should at least be contacted by someone on here regarding his kind offer.

Thanks for the info Merse I had noticed it and what a wonderful gesture from Nigel whom I used to play footy with many moons ago. I will inform them of course though would imagine it would be a little impractical being only a short solution they really need 3 beds for equipment etc and I believe that there may be alternatives that they are looking at now. No way will they be turfed out on the street.

Just a quick update. I have texted Richard and Lauren asking how Megan and they all are. They are all at home at the minute. Hopefully we will have some information soon on their situation and whether they will be staying or moving. They know that we are ready to help in any way that we can.
