I really can't believe the story I'm about too bring you, I have had to wait until it went to print in the Mid Devon Advertiser.
www.newton-abbot-today.co.uk/tn/news.cfm?id=41228&headline=Parents of dying girl face eviction
Megan and her family are being kicked out of their home on Megan's birthday. The very cold hearted landlord who should really being hanging his head in shame, wants the family out.
They have paid the very over the top rent always on time and have looked after the property very well, so why is this landlord treating this poor family in such a disgraceful way.
The paper reports
Mr Sutton said they have paid their rent on time, but relations with the agent Rendells and their landlord have soured in the last few months.
‘We don’t know why we are being evicted. Rendells said the reason was that the landlord could not be bothered any more because of our circumstances.
This dear family have had so much to deal with already and really are close to nearly giving up, can you blame then? how can anyone be so uncaring in such terrible circumstances, in case you have forgotten, Megan a sweet four old girl is terminally ill and all treatment was stopped, as our dear health service have all but given up on her.
Even the education department did, until some pressure was put on them, they were not prepared to give Megan any home tuition, just wrote her off as so many others seem to want to do.
I have met this lovely family and spent time with them and their dear daughter Megan, this really has broken my heart and also made me so very very angry.
Can you make a noise?, do you have any power in this mad world? I ask you to please take the time and write to the paper, write to Rendells, write to anyone who may be able to help.
This needs to be stopped here and now, the family do not need this extra heartache and pressure put on them.

Heartless Landlord
Imagine your worst real life nightmare. What could that be?
Thankfully I can only imagine.Would it perhaps be being diagnosed with a life threatening illness or maybe even worse your doted on and much loved four year old child being diagnosed with a terminal illness. Well that is what happened to my good friends twelve months ago.
They had recently moved to a rented house in the Decoy area and were looking forward to their little girl attending the well respected school. Both in full time work and things were looking bright and rosy until just a month on and after some worrying signs their only daughter, the very centre of their life was diagnosed with AML (Acute Myeloid Leukaemia).
Over two or three months arduous courses of Chemo and tests followed at Bristol Hospital and a bone marrow donor found in Canada. Hopes were high but after crucial tests the Cancer was found to be resistant to treatment and the devastating news that there was nothing else that could be done was given to the parents. It was terminal and the doctors announced that she would only be expected to survive for a couple of months.
Both parents had been give compassionate leave by caring employers so they could commit to care and spend as much quality time with her as they could for what little time she had left and much love from friends family was to follow.
The mental and financial stress over the last twelve months related to this little family can only be imagined along with travelling every day to hospitals and struggling to make ends meet and despite support from caring friends and family, I cannot personally think of a worse scenario yet when you talk to them they always appear positive cheery and ready to face the next challenge.
Imagine then what could add to their devastating and life changing problems. A little over a month ago they were given notice of eviction by only what can only be described as the most mean minded "Dickensian" landlord you could possibly imagine. He knows their situation and the eviction notice has been served to coincide with the little girl’s birthday on the 26 of November.
The house is well cared for and the exorbitant rent always paid on time. The good news is that in a caring and loving environment there daughter has up until now and against all odds managed to survive and fight this evil disease.
The landlord should be ashamed of his actions to bring extra stress and worry to this family is totally heartless and he has no compassion and I feel that this shameful situation should be made public.
