The big question Is, can we keep our run going, York V Mansfield was the game that got the pure football thread started.
I think with the mood the team Is In and the record number Of games without defeat, it Is chasing, then a win Is on the cards. Expect to see much the same line up with Sills up there on his own and Thompson just behind In the hole.
I think we can all agree, that this system has worked well for us and Bucks does not like to change what Is working.

Agreed Dave.
I think this game will be a toughie. And I'll take a point from it to be honest. A very long journey, and probably not nice weather for the lads and supporters. I don't feel that confident about this one to be honest, and, like I said, I'll be happy coming back with a point.

I would definately be happy with a point - we're fast becoming the team to beat!
I'm sure while the team would be too professional to say it out loud, they will surely want to put one over York after their late equaliser of a couple of months ago,
I would imagine that it will be an unchanged team from Saturday (and certainly the same formation) although perhaps Carlisle on the bench if he is fit yet.

That late goal still grates and was the difference from being top of the league last week. There is a lot to motivate a confident and in form team at the moment, 13 games unbeaten, six straight wins, revenge against York ( our nadir? ) not to mention a win here, and then again home to Lewes would almost certainly put us top! It won't be easy to win up there - York are unbeaten at home and have their own record to maintain but have only won three of their eight games in the league. In the process they have only conceded four goals in this run! Although I think Buckle will continue with Thompson, would like to see either Green or Benyon partner Sills earlier than the 80th minute if their defence proves hard to breakdown. Would be good to see Carlisle back if fully fit for his goal scoring prowess.

Maybe they are unbeaten at home, but the team will be really up for this game and will want to get the three points they know they should have got at home.
The players seem so much more up for all the games lately and I really see a win for us, we are scoring goals now, we did struggle in the early part Of the season to find the net, you can bet Sills will be on the score sheet.

I am going for a 2 - 0 win over York. Bucks will be putting out our strongest available sqaud as he dosnet ever seem to rest any of our best.top players. York will be a really hard place to go to and arent unbeaten at home for nothing but I think that our pace may just beat them in the end and our set-pices are one of the best in the league to get goals from as well.

I notice they have recently signed Bruce Dyer up front. I would imagine he will be a handful for Woods and Hodges. Am assuming we'll be unchanged. I think a fired up Gulls reminded of the Plainmoor game earlier in the season will ensure York's unbeaten home record comes to an end. 3-1

I work with one of my best mates, who happens also to be a York fan, and he tells me that Colin Walker, their manager, is feeling the pressure at the moment for the very defensive tactics he has been using.
They allowed Richard Brodie, one of their best attacking options, to join Barrow on loan and that has been another decision he has taken a lot of stick for, even though I claimed on the Non League Forum that Brodie's running style makes it look like he has 'pooped' himself.
He is expecting us to win 1-0 if there happen to be any goals at all.

In the Herald Express today, looks like Carayol and Carlisle will be both out. The depth of the squad is such that Danny Stevens will be able to step up to the mark and show us what we know he can do! However, Buckle also hinted that he may also change the formation. Could we see the return of the 5-2-3 as per the Wrexham game? We have just got enough defenders fit to manage it! Maybe with Thompson playing up front that could become a 5-3-2 at times if he helps out in midfield. My only doubt is that a lot of our good play has come from the wings recently Would like to hear TUFCO1 thoughts on this or anyone else particularly if they were at the Wrexham game.

Reckon Bucs may go with Danny Stevens as a direct replacement rather than upset the shape to much. If that isnt working he could put Thompson out wide and bring in Elliot Benyon to play behind Sills. He has the energy and the ability and would be filling that role now if he hadn't got injured. Either look like decent options. Tough game though and Dyer is a man to watch.

I think you are right Petef, I can't see Bucks changing what has been working well and getting the results. It will be a good opportunity for Danny and I hope he does so well, that he gives Bucks much to think about.
With the squad we still have left too put out on Saturday, we will still be able to make changes in our style of play, should we need too. I still think we will take the three points and keep marching on.

If changes are forced on us then I hope we start as we did against Wrexham, when we were EXCELLENT for most of the first half. Danny should be fired up if he gets a start. Dyer could be a threat - 33 is no age, look at CH after all. Don't know where Dyer's been playing his football recently, or how match fit he is. I shall be at the match - I have 2 daughters living in York so no excuse ! Would love a win but would happily settle for a draw at the moment - seems to me the most likely outcome.

I would like to see the 5-2-3 formation he used at Wrexham. (Although that might to cavalier for this game). Sills, Benyon & Green are all fit and available so its not beyond the realms of possibility, just highly improbable. Ive just re read my match report from that game to remind myself exactly how much we battered them in that first half. Sills, Green and Benyon were awesome together that day, however this is a different game. Back then it was early into our current winning streak and the pressure was on to get results. A loss then would have been very hard, but a loss tomorrow would not be the end of the world. So formation wise it will probably be 4-4-1-1.

Thats what i would have gone for, however i wouldn't be surprised to find Thompson out on the wing and Green up front with Sills. Shame Carlisle still injured as he could have just slotted in for Carayol, but again i wouldn't be that surprised to see Carlisle on the bench as even though .com reported that he wasn't fit, they also said that about Sills for the Weymouth game and he started.
