This Is a game I'm really looking forward too and I'll tell you why. It was after watching the York v Mansfield game On TV, that I started the thread pure football and what a good thread that turned out to be.
Mansfield impressed me with their good football and the game against York was one Of the best BSP games I have seen Of TV.Now that we are also playing good football, this game Is set up to be a spectacle between to sides who should play attractive football and I'm sure there will be plenty Of goals In the game.
I think once again we should start will Sills up from and have Thompson playing just behind, as this really seems to work. With Benyon and Green on the bench, changes can be made If we need to get a goal back etc.

Couldn't disagree with putting TT just behind Sills against Mansfield on Saturday. For me, TT has done exceptionally well in that spot. It is strange, because I would have felt that having "just one striker" would have been a negative thing - but I genuinely feel that it has allowed us to play very positive football (as well has helping to get a great run of results!).
Other than that, it would depend upon the fitness of Carlisle as to who I think will start (given that his steadily improved form makes him a "must" if he is fit). If Carlisle is fit, I would put Roscoe on the bench and put Carayol on the left.
Mansfield have fared far better than I felt they would, although they've got a long way to go before they have a side the likes of Disley, Lawrence, Williamson, Larkin, Greeacre etc. Definately going to be a tough game - along the same sort of lines as the Oxford match.

Certainly couldn't disagree with much of the above in respect of team selection. However, does anyone think that Ellis should start in front of Hodges? Personally I would prefer to see Hodges on the bench to cover the LB, CB and just about any other position on the pitch ;D (Apart from in goal as someone else has made that subs position his own!! )

Think this one could go either way!
Would prefer Ellis to start, because as has already been mentioned, Hodges is a very versatile sub.
I think Carayol deserves another go on the right wing with Carlisle on the bench.
As mentioned at the start this is not going to be an easy game, draw for me would be fine. That way confidence will remain high and unbeaten run will continue!
Isn't it about time we started playing some of the teams in the bottom half again?

I would like 3 points out of this one to be honest, as I feel we will struggle at York in a fortnights time after this one (which is our next league game). I will take 4 points from those two games. I hope Buckle looks to analyse any threat of pace from Emile Sinclair who looked very good in a recent defeat against Wrexham (I saw highlights on youtube). I agree with the idea of TT behind Sills again, with Benyon on the bench. I would like to see Ellis back in the middle with Woods, as I don't think Hodges will be suitable enough to cope with Sinclair. My prediction: Torquay 2 - 1 Mansfield.

rjdgull, I think Ellis should be starting and fail to understand why he did not play against Chipstead. This was a game to get him back Into a match action and Bucks could have seen, If he was ready to start the game on Saturday.
Far better to have Hodges on the bench, If Nico Is going to start, as others have said, he could be used In different positions.
While I think Carayol deserves another go on the right wing, I would go with Carlisle If he Is 100% fit. Only because Of the goals he has scored and any team needs to have other players scoring as well as the forwards.
So I would still have Carayol playing but have him On the left wing, where he has made most Of his starts. Stevens can always come on later If Carayol Is not having much impact.

Really looking forward todays game, how great It Is to be able to say that. Going to feel strange for me at the game as Ant as already left as his team are playing today In the Mick Parry Cup - Devon U18s v Wiltshire U18's 14:30 Kick-off at the ground Of, Bemerton Heath Harlequins FC (Salisbury) Hard to believe that Its just over 30 years I held his hand and walked him to his first TUFC match and what memories I have Of all the games and grounds we have been to together, so you see TUFC has not just been a football club to us, but something that has united us and has been a big part Of both our lives that we share together. So good luck to the Devon under 18's today, I wonder If Sean will wonder alone to watch the match, but as its his birthday today, may have other plans.I will do my best to cheer for you Ant, at plainmoor today and lets hope we both come home happy and knowing both teams won their games today. I would hope we see a bigger attendance at the game today, I think It will be around 2400, not as good as It should be, but higher than It has been lately and I do feel after our turn around, that more fans should be getting to the games and playing their parts, to keep our good run going. So I hope If you see me at the game that you will say hello, I'm known to never shut up talking and today without Ant, I will need to do what I do best, so I will say sorry to who ever Is unfortunate to stand next to me today, as you may just get your ears talked Off.

As I couldn't really expect to drag my little girl along to see Hilly at Bishop Stortford on a raw day like today (Anthony's chillin' out at the barbers with his uncles in Tottenham!) so I'll be listening to BBC Devon with an eye on Channel 4 Racing and wondering what link those Buffoons will lumber us with today.....................Basketball from Plymouth or euchre from the Devon Arms maybe? Whatever, when they eventually get it right, let's hope the commentator comments on events on the pitch and not on what his Aunt FA nny perfumed her muff with this morning!
