How will the players feel after only getting a draw against Rushden, two points dropped or a good point gained? They now need to fully focus on getting all three points against Altringham.Getting 10 points from a possible 12 would be considered as promotion form and it is important we try and cement the play-off spot we hold at this time.
Will Sills be fit? If not expect Green and Benyon to start upfront and as Dsane is suspended, it is now the right time and in my view not before time to give Carlisle a chance out on the left hand side.Carayol has done enough to keep his place on the right and one would hope getting more games his crossing has to keep improving.
Robertson should also keep his place along side Woods and Woods must be a good candidate for player of the season, they way he has performed in most games this season.
If Sills is out, then its no good just hitting high balls up to Green and Benyon, they simply are not going to win them and we will see the ball just coming back our way far to quickly. We will need to have good balls played by our midfield pair, ones into the space between and beyond the defenders for both Green and Benyon to run onto.
I think we will get the three points but the score may only be a one nil.

It will be interesting to see if Christie is fit as I suspect Buckle may start him both for his experience and physical presence! If that is the case, hopefully Green won't be put back onto the left wing as would also like to see Carlisle start there. Otherwise, rather boringly agree with the team Dave R advocates

My understanding is that he took the knock in the first half. Lets hope Christie is fit (my understanding is that is isn't). Two points dropped.

It certainly looked like he had a knock the first half and. Even before he went to ground in the second half it was decided that he was being subbed so it didn't seem like his injury was a surprise to the bench.
With regards to Christie, I can't see him being fit for a while if it was a pulled hamstring that forced him off at Oxford. Judging from his cameo performances so far it doesn't see that we will see many 90 minute performances from him - although when it comes down to it, the most important thing is the effect that he has on the time that he does spend on the pitch.
I wouldn't be surprised to see Thompson return to the starting line-up on Tuesday. Those at Grays gave good reports to his involvement when he came-on and his combatitive qualities are going to be needed. I wouldn't be surprised to see Carlisle remain on the bench and Thompson come-in to start up-front with Green retaining his place out-wide.
The most important thing is that we get a result on Tuesday, no matter how "well" or "badly" we play. Altincham are doing far better than they did last season and will be no mugs at home. Wonder what odds there are on Jody Banim scoring for them!!??

The Herald Express reported on Friday that "Christie will face a late fitness test but may not be risked" indicating that he is close to returning to fitness. (Obviously Carlisle with a similar injury took some time to return after being close as well)

Where is this Altringham you speak of Dave? Is it anywhere near Altrincham? Just teasing mate Another long away trip on a Tuesday night and it certainly won't be a walkover. If Christie's fit, I imagine he'll be in for Sills. Otherwise I think it'll be the same lineup as Saturday. I would, however, like to see this starting line-up and just really go at them: Bevan
Mansell - Woods - Robertson - Nicholson
Wroe - Hargreaves - Thompson
Carlisle - Benyon - Green

Is Dsane back from suspension? No Rob he got a four match suspension, so must have two more games to go. In that case, I'd go for 4-4-1-1 with Thompson behind Green, Carayol on the right and Carlisle on the left. At least we would have another striker on the bench, unlike the situation on Saturday. I've heard no news of Christie, though would always assume 3 games for a hamstring, so those who have been looking for their chance now need to show as Sills is unlikely to be back at the weekend either.

Mark Ellis as a makeshift striker? Could be another Dion Dublin in the making.

Mark Ellis as a makeshift striker? Could be another Dion Dublin in the making. I have been pleased that Mark has at least been making the bench in recent games, but can't see him getting a start just yet in the team. I think we could well do a job up front for us and we would need someone up there to win the high balls, if we try and play that way in this game. I would think Cristie would be in the team if he is fit, bucks will need a player like him to win and hold balls up in their half, but he would need to play the way he showed he could, in his first game for us. I still think we will see Green and Benyon starting as the strikers and we will need to keep the ball on the floor a lot more, if we are going to get a result from this game.

...If no Sills or Christie.....i like the idea of Ellis up front as a makeshift personally.
We cant afford not to match them up front on a physical basis. With no one to hold the ball up you are just inviting pressure as clearance after clearance comes back at us.
Green and Benyon/Thompson could work at home without doubt when the emphasis is not on our opponents to attack or dictate the pace of the game.
Away from home "oop north" on a Tuesday night is always going to be a battle, i feel that without a physical target man we will concede a lot of possesion.
Ellis is a naturally fit lad who's mobile enough to do the job...
I'd risk it for sure....
