I must admit that I thought I saw him by the dugout and, evidently, he was there as many people saw him close up. The guy on the bbc commentry sounded exactly like him and his name was Leroy though!! ;D I wonder how he managed that. Maybe they were just watching the game on a monitor from England

Maybe they were just watching the game on a monitor from England yes I would think that was more likely, not to worry I think if I had had seem it I would have made the same mistake

Leroy was definitely there, because we exchanged pleasantries before the game. thanks Andy that clears that one up, did you ask him back I wasn't a fan of his to be honest, but we did speak a few times on Capital Gulls business so it would have been rude not to say hello when he was stood a foot away.

I'm sorry if this has been mentioned before as I can't be bothered to plough through so many pages of whinging but didn't we thrash Aldershot 0-3 at this stage last season?? They got their act together and pissed this league. This bunch are strangers to each other and the quicker bucks gets the right blend and things will improve or he will be out by Xmas. Like I just said to Merse on the phone, even though we beat Aldershot 3-0 at least they played well that night and showed the signs that they would be a decent team. We didn't do that last night - strangely in very similar weather conditions!! What is it about football games in August - it's either blazing hot or pissing it down (testing swear filter - word was p*ssing) with rain and hellishly windy!

crispygull, Paul was very guilty last season, sticking with the same faces as you say, to be fair Zebs would have benefited from being dropped for a few games. Not sure we will see as many as six changes, but you can be sure there will be a few. I also think we should give Green and Desane a chance up front together to see what they can do. We must at least get a few more shots than we did on Monday night

People are comparing us with Aldershot rather alot but im not sure its the right comparison to make.
The thing is with Aldershot was that they really could play football. They had alot of very talented youngsters and I would'nt be suprise if they made it back to back promotions this year. League Two seems to be wide open since big spending Dons and posh went up.
I dont want to start making comparisons with Aldershot because they were in a completely different senario to us with players that were technically better than most of ours.
It will be very interesting to see how Bucks changes things for Crawley.

Ok then compare us with Excretia who were 14 points behind us but sneaked into the play offs and got promoted

I think he will drop wroe and Stevens and will play ellis at the back Hargreaves in the middle think he will stick with Sills but Green or Desane will start.

Ok then compare us with Excretia who were 14 points behind us but sneaked into the play offs and got promoted As I posted elsewhere earlier today, our record since March is not good enough to get us anywhere near even the top half of the league. Since March 1 2008 we are P23 W9 D3 L11 in all competitions, including defeats by the likes of Farsley Celtic and the now defunct Halifax Town. Turn that into something positive and I'll buy you a beer. I don't think either Exeter or Aldershot had that kind of run in their promotion seasons and both played much better football than we have since Christmas 2007. I voted in the Buckle poll to give him more time, but many more performances like Monday night and the pressure is going to grow and grow - there will be nothing he can do about it apart from getting his team to start producing the performances they should be capable of. Sure the fans play a part, but they aren't out on the pitch - hopefully things start to turn around on Saturday, but I won't hold my breath.

Positive? I don't think so so the J20 stays in the fridge ;D
If we had played Cambridge, Rushden and Wrexham and got four points maybe, but Histon, Woking and Ebbsfleet with two of those at home and at least 1 3/4 poor performances in general.

Just practice games mate while Paul has been able to tweak the team you wait until Saturday, you will be opening that fridge door again

You got it - will be worth a J2O, even at Boots & Laces prices, if we win on Saturday.
Mine's a coke!
