Who was our last double barelled surnamed player anyway? One for Barton or Jon? We're not signing Leo Fortune-West are we? Or how about Jo Osei-Kuffour? ....Of course, how did i forget these two! Guess i was thinking back to the Forbes Phillipson Masters era....

Having seen Mat Mitchell-King a couple of times within the last few weeks I was impressed by his energy levels, tackling, ariel threat, and passing. I thought he was the player that stood-out for Histon and think his physical attributes would make a good addition to our team.
I think he will make it into the league this season, I would like to see him give it a go with us and given that Steven Fallon praised us highly all season (and respect to him for that) I think that he would be interested in doing just that.

There's a rumour buzzing around that Chris Zebroski has shown interest in returning....... Now that would be a good addition.

At what point are we allowed to be concerned over the lack of transfer activity these days? Is it me or do you think there is a general lack of transfer activity throughout the leagues?? But then again most of the players appear to be on holiday, justifiably making use of the 3 or 4 weeks off that they get between the end of season and the start of training for the next season. It must be difficult trying to negotiate if they are away. Not sure we need to get concerned just yet, its not like last season and the season before when we were desperate for numbers, right now we don’t need that much to strengthen the team, although we do need to strengthen the squad a little. I think we can we trust Buckle to get the right players in. I would like to have seen Blair Sturrock stay, he would have brought something different to the front line. I know he is a bit injury prone but his performances, particularly away from home, were impressive. If he were to be given time to gel with Sills, I think they would form a decent partnership. Though the lack of pace might be an issue??

A Club nearer to London might suit his other interests. www.flairtalent.com/our_models.asp?sex=m&page=7
