HOWEVER, for me all of this pales when confronted with the appalling and frankly embarassing prospect of seeing Cambridge roared on by25,000+ supporters, and us supported by 8,000 fans dotted around three section of one half of the ground. We'll be a laughing stock, but most importantly, the players will be at a disadvantage on the day. I agree. I think this is a point that merse has conveniently omitted. Look at Greavsie's blog for confirmation of what the noise we created at Histon can help do. The players deserve our support in numbers for what they have so far achieved and for what we pray they will go on to achieve.

It's not often I am in complete agreement with Merse, but on this subject I am totally with him. After the euphoria of getting through to the final I was absolutely gob smacked to see the price of tickets for Wembley. It will cost me well over £100 in total to see the game live at Wembley. Not only do I have to travel to Wembley from Torquay, I also have to get to Torquay and back from N. Devon. I am a pensioner on a fairly limited income and have to stretch the budget just to get to Plainmoor every game. Several of my friends who are regular supporters are also questioning whether they can afford to go as well. This could well backfire on the Conference, who must have to pay Wembley before anything is distributed to the clubs. I wonder what the fee is for the game. If it's in proportion to the £6.50 they charge for a burger the Conference might even find themselves out of pocket. I can't add anything to the comments Merse makes about those who run the Conference or to the rip-off Wembley. As an "old soldier" as Merse once called me, I hope we get good support and that there are enough prepared to bankrupt themselves for the "privilege" of going to Wembley to give the team the support they deserve. For me, I haven't yet made the final decision. As a group of us will want to be together, one of us has got to buy all the tickets so we can be together. I'm not sure which of us has got that much credit on their card to do this. It will be a shame if only a few thousand Gulls get to the game.

What is the cut off age for kids on the supporters coach, hope its 16 like the Wembley tickets or else it will be very expensive for my 14 year old.

No Merse, I did not know that the Play Off Final gate receipts are split between ALL the BSP clubs (I am assuming just the Premiership). However, I do not recall any complaints last year when we must have pocketed in the region of £20 - £30k from the same principle!

Wanted to take Rhianan but looking at train fare, entrance prices, merchandising, food, drink I think it might be the Gulls Nest for us and the dreaded SATANta! Not a happy bunny!

I'll be there, don't really see £30 being over the top having a couple of seasons ago paying £23 to watch us at Swindon, or £14 per under 16 to get into Wallsall. I am not even bothered that I can't chose where I sit, at least there are no inconvenient roof supports in the way.
After a long hard season with regular posts on here about the lack of support at home, and the "don't care" attitude of the residents of the bay, I find some of the comments on here tinged with irony bordering on the hypocritical.
You don't HAVE to buy into all the merchandising and overpriced poor food, you don't HAVE to get the train, I am sure there are more than enough people driving up with seats in cars that can be arranged through here or dotNet.
We are at Wembley. We are one game away from returning to the league. Stop moaning like a bunch of girls and get there to support our club.

£30 (ticket) + £30 (official coach) is a lot of money but the team need your support at the match! Just don't spend any money inside the ground.
Maybe you can arrange some sort of TFF coach or minibus and drive up to London all together. Must be cheaper?

Whats the average for a BSP entrance fee? £14 quid maybe? Are FA Cup tickets double the price of a Premiership match? For West Brom maybe, but the rest? £20-£25 quid is an acceptable price. In a way I'm very lucky that I only live 3 or 4 miles from Wembley but its a lot of cash. I'm not going to be made to feel guilty if I don't go. I've been to the likes of Barrow and Altrincham this season. Besides I've never since us win at Wembley!!

Not sure what the average BSP price is, I would guess it was more like £15 or 16. Swindon may have been a couple of leagues higher, but it is still £23 "to watch torquay" which is how I view it. I would guess that a Cup final ticket is double a premier league match, yes.
People seem to be getting hung up on 5-10 quid being the difference between what they find acceptable, and what they don't. If you can't afford it, then fine, but to use the excuse that some of the cash is going to other teams or the FA/Conference/Wembley plc seems a bit poor.

Its a fortune for a 14 year old. I agree, 60 quid is a lot of money for a youngster.

The Trophy Final last year was £25 - now according to my Maths - a £35 ticket is a 40% increase on last year.
My son & I are England Fan members and I only pay £25 to watch England @ Wembley and £12.50 for my son (Family Stand)
£35 is too much - but I will no doubt pay it It is patently obvious that the Conference do not give a toss about the fans!

Here are the prices of last season's Football League play-offs:
Championship GA Cat 1 £74.00 GA Cat 2 £62.00 GA Cat 3 £50.00 GA Cat 4 £34.00
League 1 GA Cat 1 £60.00 GA Cat 2 £50.00 GA Cat 3 £40.00 GA Cat 4 £30.00
League 2 GA Cat 1 £56.00 GA Cat 2 £46.00 GA Cat 3 £36.00 GA Cat 4 £26.00
Still a big difference with the cheapest tickets mentioned above.
