Couldn't agree more Dave, but the Chinese puzzle is how to attract the quality posters from .net and filter out the idiots? Quality or an idiot? Only time will tell which one I am. Maybe I can add some Dutch flair to this site?

Maybe I can add some Dutch flair to this site? You may know I'm very good friends with a Dutch family and my good mate Rolf was over here a few weeks ago, I'm sure you will add greatly to our forum.

[/glow] Let me set the record straight over my attitude to younger posters, which is I respect ALL posters until they lose my respect; and the easy way for anyone to do so is to act like a juvenile when they clearly are not. I think we can all live with the naivety and over expectancy of youth.............. Jeeze - I had enough of it all those years ago, but at least when I joined in adult conversation I took the trouble to cut out the "street chat" and attempted to converse in an adult and mature fashion. Looks like the filter has failed already! ;D Evening Merse. How are you?

I'm more that happy to give the man who has a lot to say, the platform he deserves I appreciate the platform Dave, now if we could find one for Chris "Mr Eurostar" Hayes; I reckon it would be at St Pancras with a one way ticket for Brussels where he could "sprout" his disrespect to a venerable elder alongside that other Bruswalian - Enzo!

Well I certainly wasn't Mr Eurostar that day at Wembley, I can tell you. I was the bravest person in the company on that Monday morning. Speaking of Belgium, I might pop across on the old EuroTunnel to Gent tomorrow.

Sorry Merse, you forget I'm only a Devon boy, you will have to translate that post for me ;D ;D Watch my lips......................Chris works for Eurostar who run trains to Brussels from St Pancras Station which has (now concentrate here )............ platforms. Enzo (who loved to try and wind me up on .net) reckons to live in Brussels hence his moniker "Enzo" - taken from some Italian/Belgian nonentity - Enzo Scifo who played for Anderlecht and Belgium. I bet you're one of those folk I see on the tube constantly looking up at the linear map and counting off the stops on their fingers...................ruddy yokels! ;D

By the way, I was halfway through doing the business in one of those Superloos the other day when it went into cleaning mode and the floor started moving sideways...............I was out of there faster than shit off a shovel, still pulling my trousers up on the pavement and then regretting I hadn't wiped my arse!

Gentlemen, good to be here, free from the Unholy Trinity of the Three B's, Brucie, Barlow and Bobby. Many thanks to Jamie for enlightening me as to the presence of his sanctuary.

Now now Mr Picky! Gent is the flemish spelling of the City. Ghent is the English version of it. I usually try and use the local names when travelling. Gent is flemish speaking, so Gent it is! Belgium can be a bit tricky though. Liege for example is both Liege in French and English, Luik if you're Flemish or Dutch, Luettich in German and Lidje in the local Walloon dialect. When you hit the Brussels (not Brussel or Bruxelles) ring road from the north don't expect to see Liege signposted (it'll be Luik). If you hit the ring road from the south likewise you won't see Antwerpen (Antwerp in English) signposted (it'll be signposted Anvers instead).

Brucie's quotes actually make me laugh. That Bobby bloke just doesn't offer anything worthwhile. As for Barlow. For a young'un he sometimes says something worthwhile What irritates me the most is the constant stream of predictable boring bollox being spouted by one or two of the micro managers/moderator types. How can you moderate and post 4 times as much as anyone else on a given day? The old dot net was fine. Mervo just used to make a stern post and that was that.
