The club has done a new deal with kit suppliers Vandanel which will involve a new home first-team strip for next season and it seems it will be very lucrative for the club.
Colin Lee says that they are in the middle of redesigning the new kit for next season and the away kit will not be changed for next season. As it is not due I do wonder why it was mentioned and can only think its because the new home kit, may have a different sponsor name on it.
I believe I'm right in saying that the City Link Shirt Sponsorship was only for one year and while Sean was at the time it was announced, hopeful it would carry on after the first year, things have changed as we all know.
If there was to be a new name on the home shirt, you would expect the away shirts to also have the new name on them, as It would look a bit strange to have different names on each kit. I'm sure any new sponsor would want to have the name on both kits anyway.

The home shirt is due an "upgrade" this season as by then we'll have had it for two years (bar the sponsor change at the halfway point).
I was hoping for a move away from Vandanel. Here's hoping they can recreate the magic of the blue away shirt from the past two seasons.

I didn't read Colin Lee's statement as saying there would be the City link logo on the all white kit next season , merely that all white would remain the colours used as the first choice change strip. On the subject of differing sponsors home and away...............in actual fact there are a few clubs who do follow this practice, Cambridge United come to my mind over recent seasons. But as I understood the situation with City link, the contract was for THIS season only in any case.

Given the fact that both home and away strips have been reduced in the club shop would suggest the sponsor will be be changed on both shirts.

While it may be the case that other clubs have a different sponsor name on their home and away kits, If I were to be the new sponsor, then I would want my name on both the kits.
We do not know what is going to happen and if we will have a new sponsor, but as the City Link one was only for one year, surely it could not be used after that? Would the sponsor want that anyway? the team will have brand new kits to wear anyway when the new season starts, so I would expect if we had a new sponsor his name will be on both kits.

While it may be the case that other clubs have a different sponsor name on their home and away kits, If I were to be the new sponsor, then I would want my name on both the kits. It all depends on how much sponsors are prepared to pay and just what exposure they want really doesn't it? For instance, if it was "Snorebay Borough Council" wanting to promote the resort as a fine holiday destination they would possibly only want the "away" deal anyway. Whilst if it was "D. Pressive & Son Local Undertakers ~ Special Rates For Short People " I very much doubt that anything other than "home" coverage would benefit them and therefore an exclusively "away" sponsor would offset all parties perfectly. Maybe we are going to see "Vandanell" as the sponsor's name on the front of the kit next season rather than the back as we do at present.

I'm sure any new sponsor would want to have the name on both kits anyway. At the end of the day it all comes down to money. If, for the sake of this argument, it costs £20,000 to have your name on both the home and away kits for the season but a company can only afford to pay £10,000 then you have to start looking at deals like this with two companies paying half each for the shirt space. The only problem I can foresee is that if such a deal were to arise, then we'd have to wear our reserve strip in every away game. This could be an issue at places such as Oxford and Mansfield. Having said that, we hopefully won't be in the same division as Oxford and Mansfield next year.

Bit late but I'd rather spend my money on magic beans than buy some more Vandanel crap, if I'm going to pay £40 for a football shirt, it's got to be quality goods, Vandanel just doesn't cut it.

While I would agree that the Vandanel shirts are not as good as we would like, I really can't see many other bigger name brands wanting to do any good deals with smaller clubs like TUFC and if the deal is worth so much to the club, then I will buy my shirt as its the shirt of the club and know that by doing so, it will help the club even further.

Shouldn't think the City Link name will appear on either home or away shirt.... Their sponsorship is over at the end of the season.

Any chance the new shirt will be yellow? But why should it be? When the club made the major change from black and white it was to GOLD and Blue and that was how it stayed until under the Bateson regime we saw the gold become yellow and the royal blue become navy in a blatant disregard for the club's heritage. It's only Johnnycomelatetys who yearn for "yellow" which is used by so many clubs as their change strip anyway. So in the interests of the club's history and heritage, I say stick to GOLD and Royal Blue!
