Micheal Brough and Chris Todd have joined Salisbury on loan for a month.
This is a good move as both eed game time. Brough needs it for game time and for us to see what he has got and Toddy needs it to get match fit.
Toddy has come along way since his dianosis and wish him and Broughy all the best at Salisbury, they have two good players for a month.

I do think that both players getting some action can only be good for them,Micheal Brough is very unlikely to get a game here this season, maybe only in the Devon Bowl and it could well kick start his career and might even turn out as a permanent move for him.
While Chris will also enjoy getting back to playing again, I do wonder if going to play for Salisbury is really the best move for him. he is and will be for the rest of his life on chemo drugs and I'm sure he will have good days and not so good days,I just feel with all the extra traveling, it will take a lot out of him.
Living in Cullumpton I did feel that playing for them would have been a better move. i know its a lower standard, but its not like he would be looking to improve his game, he really is only looking to get match fit.

Bideford and Taunton are also comparitively close in distance to him and would also give him match practise. But he could always car share with Brough if travelling fatiged him.

Thats a good point aussie about car sharing and one I must admit I did not think about. It makes sense I suppose to have both players at the same club together and as Brough might be looking for a permanent move then it would make even more sense.

Cullompton?! They are well below our level - he would surely be better-off have been playing the odd reserve match for us!! No - I believe Todd needs to step-up his return to football at a decent level. Time wise, Newton Abbott must be about 40 minutes away, I don't think an extra hour each way or so 4 days a week will make too much difference.
Speeds Meadow (?) isn't a great surface (I played on it about 3 seasons ago in August and it was dodgy then!). With respect to players that play at this level (which is a decent amateur / local level), they shouldn't be anywhere near Toddy in terms of ability and fitness. Toddy will be desperate to get back and help our promotion push, so he will want to play at the highest level that has been offered to him so he can push straight back into the team.
Hopefully Brough might get some matches as well in midfield to provide some alternative to Wroe when he fades-out of a game.

ohtobeatplainmoor. you are correct and I was only really looking at Toddy not over doing things to early, but to be fair to him he really has come along way already and credit must be given to him for that.

Sorry to go off topic slightly but got any info on the big day yesterday? And are they having a honey-moon now or saving it for the summer? Really interested because I think so highly of him now! What an inspiration that boy is!
