salisburycityforum.co.uk/scfc/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=3268&st=0&sk=t&sd=aI didn't realise that Salisbury were playing Woking last night until I saw the results this evening. Although Woking are pretty poor it was good to hear a Todd / Brough centre-half combo kept a clean sheet, played a second 90 minutes in 4 days and that they were both rated highly by the fans that commented on the match. It was no surprise to read the reaction from Toddy at the end - wherever he plays at whatever level he will give absolutely everything. I can't see him being there past the agreed one month spell as I believe that he will be recalled to add to our goal threat and his leadership qualities. It is also encouraging to hear that Brough is doing well there - despite the fact that I've only seen him play one game since the pre-season (away at FGR in the SS - a very poor performance) I've only heard people praise his attitude in training. I would be surprised to see him become an established TUFC player, but you never know what will happen come the end of season mix-up (when the "phoney war" ends!!). If a player works hard and shows the "right attitude" whether he is in the matchday squad or not and has another year left on their contract then there is always a chance to establish themself - Matt Green take note!!

I certainly feared for Brough after the 4-0 defeat on Saturday, having heard Nick Holmes Radio Wiltshire interview, where he made a point of stating that it wasn't easy for loan players to show any commitment to the cause - specifically stating, by the way, that Toddy was not in this bracket. However, judging by those comments after their clean sheet and first win in ages, it does indeed sound as if Brough may continue in the side. I suspect, until the end of the season. Hopefully they'll both assist in keeping clean sheets in their upcoming fixtures away at Crawley and Wrexham. rjc70

Cris Todd was man of the match and the first thing to say is that we must be so pleased to be playing in games again as playing football his is life. There will be an even more important reason why playing football again will be really special and that is that Chris will feel he is getting his life not only back to normal, but living it as normal.
One thing I do know about those who suffer from cancer, is the real need they feel,to try and live life as normally as they possibly can, there has been days when I and Carols family really felt that Carol was not well enough to go into work, but for Carol and people in her position, they do not want to give in and feel that they must get on with life, not let the illness stand in the way and change their life's.
I'm sure Toddy will have days when he feels the effects, when maybe he has pushed just a little to hard to live life as normally as possible, Carol sure came home many times and it was clear she just over done things a little, but you have to let them get on with and trust their judgment and just stand back and admire their courage and bravery, that put so many to shame.
Brough is a good player and I never really understood why he has not been in Buckles plans, maybe the players being picked are just seen as being that bit better, but any footballer wants to be on the pitch playing games and I'm so happy for Brough that he is getting games now. Reading some view from some of their fans, he really played well and you would expect that he will get regular starts there.
If he continues to play as well as it seemed he did, then we may not see him back at our club again, as I'm sure Salisbury would want to sign him.

I've just noticed on the official site that Brough and Toddy have extended their loan spells. It doesn't say how long for. Salisbury have done us a few favours in their last two or three games. Long may that continue. Starting with Kidderminster at home on Saturday.

While we would all like to see Toddy back playing for us, he has played a big part in the results that Salisbury have been getting. maybe Bucks is just being a very clever manager here and if that is the case, well he must deserve some praise as he sure does not get as much as some may feel he deserves.

I keep getting this thought that he'll come on in the 93rd minute at Wembley to defend our lead, make a goalsaving tackle and then pick up the play-off trophy. I think I would, however, spontaneously combust thereafter.

Think you have been reading to many comics Rob, or is that Mills and Boom books, still what a feeling that would be if it did happen like that. I'll settle for him just being on the bench, if he can still lift the trophy hight above his head at the end of the game.

According to the TUFC website, we only just managed to fill the bench last night. I wouldn't be surprised to see Mr Todd back next week!

There is definately a recall option. I would be very surprised if Todd keeps-up the sort of form that he has produced (according to reports) then Salisbury don't stand a chance of him ot being recalled. To have Toddy back will be a massive boost.
