We've got a 4 year old son who we'd like to take to more games, however the other half has a pop side season ticket and we both dislike sitting in the family stand. I couldn't take our son on the pop side due to the use of the "C" word. Im not against swearing at football grounds but I just detest this word and would be horrified if my son came out with it or used it at school or the grandparents. As a result, I dont get to many games as I dont like sitting in the family stand on my own , so the club are definately losing out on fan numbers. We did however take him to Weymouth on Boxing day as we had no childcare available and I really wanted to go. Im rather lucky that my son was more interested in pretending to be Scott Bevan (the only player he could see close!) and moaning his feet were cold than hearing the "C" word chants coming from some of our fans. I had a lady standing next to us who kept looking at me every time it was sung and I couldnt work out if she was thinking I shouldnt have brought him or if she felt sorry for me. I agree zero tolerence in the family stand and a quiet word from the stewards in the pop to try and stop the use of that particular word. PS. Im not an old fuddy duddy either!

Remember Brian Clough's famous banner? "Gentlemen, no swearing please~Brian"Perhaps the players would take a pro-active stance if the manager was asked to instigate a campaign to show these idiots that their conduct is an embarrassment and a negative factor in the battle to attract bigger crowds. Remember, for every "Bartlett" there's a stay away.
