A tough match away to top of the table Chesterfield that will be televised on BT sports but at least I have a fighting chance of getting back to see at least some of the match this time after dropping my son off at Cardiff halls of residence in his Covid designated time spot of between 3pm and 4pm. A much needed win last week which will give Johnson something to work on as he continues to improve the deficiencies in the side. Listening to the gaffers press call it seems that both Little and Lapslie are very close to fitness once again and their experience and know how will be crucial for this match. No idea how the side will be set up but looking forward to seeing the boys in action. COYY! With a 17 goal goal difference swing in unbeaten Chesterfields favour after just seven games this looks like a formality win for home side.
What a contrast in starts to a season. I can only hope we are improving enough to get a result and retain some pride after a decent performance last week but still don't see us any where near as strong as we were at this stage last season. Central defence is still a major concern IMHO.
Just eleven months on we were in front of the BT cameras at Hartlepool and putting in one of the best performances in recent times winning 5-0.
A great day, we were flying high but that's all it was as it counted for nothing in June at Ashton gate. Very different opposition to Southend who looked pretty awful. A big test today.

Will we stick to a back three?
It worked against Southend, but they showed no attacking intent at all whereas Chesterfield certainly will.
If we go back three, I would rather have Martin than O’Connell on the left and would be desperate to have Lapslie in midfield in place of Rogers.
Not sure if Addai is ready for a start but if he is it is difficult to see where he fits with a back three. We did switch to 4-4-2 when he came on last week with Johnson dropping back and O’Connell pushing up.
The best way to return to a back four would be a new loanee at centre-back. Barring that, it is Omar back, or Johnson RB Wynter CB or Martin LB Moxey CB.
I would then prefer to see Hall and Lapslie holding, Addai and Lolos either side of Wright and Lemon free to roam.

Little in Lemon out only change.
Could be back three with Rogers in the hole.
Could be 4-4-2 with Rogers and O’ Connell wide.
Lapslie on bench.

Pants again! 2-0..we are getting roasted down the left hand side. Johnson just subbed off to save him from a second yellow.

Indeed, only saw the second and looked a tight match before that.
