link - after the highs of Manic Monday, the lows of Terrible Tuesday with rumoured target, Molyneux extending his contract at Hartlepool leaving us a bit short out wide but with probably a decent wedge in the budget to look elsewhere and in Johnson we trust. ( both Nemane and Molyneux were long shots to be honest) We travel to Notts in our second game on 28th August and so soon after the play offs and them having two of our players, think that game was always going to have a bit of needle. Just 5 champions left them from the 18/19 season - Hall, Wynter, CLE, Andrews and Koszela.

From the outside it would appear our players are deserting a ship thats sailed. Suddenly we look a less attractive option for the likes of Molyneux who was offered a better deal in and had many other options in any case. He was a long shot but was singled out as a target with the quality were looking for. Nemane was always going to be off disappointed it was again to a main rival. My question is were these players offered extended contracts when we could see their obvious potential. Its a case now of suck it and see on the face of it looking from a neutrals point of view we may struggle to complete with the big boys.

First brick bats for players making sideways moves to Notts County, now a brick bat for a player not making a side way move, go figure.

Agreed, potential to have gone higher but made their name in this division where most sought after, link - Nemane has thanked the fans and club on Twitter - linkLooking at Kyle Cameron Twitter, he is another I sadly won’t clap on his return. I've just looked at Cameron's Twitter and can't see anything likely to cause offence. Has something been removed?

link - bit of banter going around on Twitter but this Jake Andrews tweet will go down well with the gulls. Unfortunately the first thing that sprung into my mind on seeing that was "sinking ship".

Hartlepool went up, sadly.

[quote author=" Rob" sHe was just having a bit banter. Nothing bad just some of our fans jumped straight on him, giving him some nasty abuse. (as they did when he decided to leave to be closer to family) He played well for us then decided to move on, my suggestion to the fans that have taken offensive to his banter on Twitter is unfollow him

I don’t really have time for Whitfield and Nemane on this one given what Gary Johnson himself has publicly said regarding them both of recent. They showed no class with their lack of communication to someone who developed them as players before signing elsewhere.

[quote author=" Some of our fans are looking a bit silly, Cam can’t have a bit banter on Twitter, but one of our own players Jake Andrews can calling 3 ex players rats and be praised for it, double standards let’s all take a breath and concentrate on our new arrivals.

Definitely, this is what pre season is all about, seeing how new arrivals will fit in. Can’t wait.

link - being reported by Dave Thomas that £15000 was the compensation agreed for Nemane. Feels like a long time since the club got any sort of fee for a player. Think Dave Phillips sold a sell on clause but other than that, was it Eunan? Anyway, hope we also have a percentage of any transfer fee that Nemane may obtain in the future. It does show that our recruitment policy is working well though.
