With forecast temperatures of -3 on Friday night and not getting above freezing at Woking on Saturday then I am not entirely sure that this match will be going ahead. With all our injuries, that would actually be quite a good result for us. In his interview Johnson stated that we were playing a few team that were still relatively fresh and while our extra games played is a good thing, the short term toll is having an impact. We will be in better stead during the run in though -almost 4.5 months to get to the half way point with just over 3.5 months to go.....
Of course, Woking haven’t played over the last couple of Tuesdays and are fresh from a 1-0 win against Sutton last Saturday in the trophy. However, that’s their first win this year and you have to go back to a stonking 3-0 win over Hartlepool 2 months ago for their last win in the league.
Johnson is quite rightly keeping mum over our injury situation with CLE likely to be back from suspension. A hard pitch in freezing conditions is not ideal to bring anyone back from injury and with the recent rivalry between our sides no quarter will be given.

This one won't help our injury list. We went there last season with too many midfielders to cram into a starting eleven and they helped us out by crocking Armani Little so we could have Connor Lemonheigh-Evans and Asa Hall in the middle. But they then went and crocked both of those too. Gerring has done GJ's team talk for him by gobbing off about our alleged shortcomings “I do question that, about Torquay. The local paper back page screamed that Torquay were all right at little old Plainmoor but would be frightened to death of Burnley at Turf Moor. We bumped into Russell Musker outside the ground and he said he would pin it up in the dressing room. I don't know if he did, but I like to think we played a little part in getting the lads up for that epic performance that took us to Wembley. |

The Burnley play off second leg was easily the longest 90 minutes of football I have ever experienced! The first time I asked my mate “how long has gone?” the answer was 7 minutes - I thought we were close to half time. Pretty much 90 minutes of pressure from Burnley - from memory they eventually scored with about a minute left. They did make it a pretty intimidating atmosphere as I recall. Other memories from that game are the Blackburn Rovers fly past (I presume) goading Burnley fans and my clothes being ruined by anti-hooligan paint as we climbed the fence to celebrate. |

Match postponed according to BBC website. Not surprised minus 5 to 0 deg C over the next 24 hrs in Woking. Could they rearrange for Sunday, seven deg C forecast, and push Woking's game on one day to Wednesday? I very much doubt it's an option and it gives us a whole week off to recover some players so not overly disappointed. |

link - confirmation of this. As I said, a good result, next match is the televised game on Saturday 20th at home to Halifax.

Thank God for that, I really wasn't looking forward to this game given the state of our squad. Now I can relax and enjoy the Test match and the Six Nations tomorrow.

Just there matches survive all though involve contenders, Stockport, Altrincham and Sutton.

Enjoyed the last session of the Test match - but would have enjoyed it more if we had won the toss and batted. Amazing review incident where the ball hit pad then glove for a catch not given. Review gave not out as the ball did not hit the bat before the pad when nobody thought it had and it was not LBW which it obviously was not. Refused to look at where the ball went after it hit the pad - which clearly showed it came off the glove after pad and should have been out. Waste of time watching Rugby. It is a silly game. |

I was surprisingly relaxed during that game - but would not have been had they scored earlier. We protected our two goal league and it was our own Stewart Evans who finally scored in stoppage time - in his own net. Wes Saunders and Matt Elliot were absolutely fantastic in that game. The most calm and assured defensive display I have ever seen from TUFC centre-backs. I did not feel as if we were clinging on or were in great danger. The longest 45 minutes I have suffered was at Wolves two years earlier. Steve Bull and Andy Mutch up against a semi-retired Kenny Allen. That did feel like we were clinging on - but cling on we did. |
