It has been a good Christmas period for us so far with a hatful of goals and crucially a maximum six points which has seen us extend our lead to a massive eleven points and heaps pressure on the chasing pack to keep winning.
I think we were a little fortunate to come up against a ring rusty team last Saturday and the quality of our squad blew them away. Yeovil have come back well with a 3-0 win against Aldershot on Monday and will now be looking for a measure of revenge although Joe Quigley picked up a late red and will be unavailable.
With no game after this for ten days the players can give it a good go with a nice recuperation period to follow. We did have six unavailable against Weymouth and while Hall was back, Little and Wright out is a net loss. Whether Waters and Wynter are back to put us into credit, even if only as subs would be a bonus.
Only changes for us likely to be in defence, maybe Covolan and Warren coming in for MacDonald and Kerr unless Wynter to start although cannot see it after a longish lay off. A double win would reverse the fixtures from last year and put us in the 40s, maybe before any other team are in the 30s.

link - Dave Thomas match preview. While there is a hint that a loan striker may come in, also makes the point that 13 outfield players have now scored this season. This can be seen in the last week where 8 players have scored 10 goals with just CLE and Nemane hitting the score sheet twice. So tricky decision, we are not short of goals but only one fit striker is a risk unless Waters is back?

Different day - a clean sheet of paper - I expect a very different game than we witnessed seven days ago. Sarle is a pretty shrewd manager and knows the game and whats required at this level very well. He will no doubt be rallying his players to respond and restore some pride to the hammering they took a week previous and if his players have anything about them they will be doing all they can to seek revenge and win this one. Their aim will surely be to stop us playing "our game" from minute one as GJ puts it. Last week they started slowly and gave us space and time early on to establish a pattern and it cost them dear. I don't see that happening so easily again. Hope as many of our fit are fit and raring to go and we don't pick up any more injuries. I don't see MacDonald being dropped and thought his so called howlers were over blown you see those misjudgments all the time even at the highest level. Warren I think may start ahead of Kerr
This one is sure to be a battle and with the talent in the squad and if at our best we have every chance of coming away with the three points.

Match day and a cold start to the day and while Exeter’s game at Barrow up North has been cancelled due to a frozen pitch, it is a relatively light frost down here and the Yeovil forecast is sunny this morning with temperatures rising to 4 degrees so would not expect any pitch inspection there. Could be some sleet or snow during the game itself but do not think enough to cause any issues, Bought my stream last night without any issues and an opportunity for our first double (hopefully of many) for the season.

If it's anything like down here, and some morning sun can get to the pitch, then you have to be very hopeful that the match will go ahead. Yeovil will be desperate and determined not to be turned over so comprehensively as they were at Plainmoor just a matter of days ago, and will go all out to salvage some pride.
A tough encounter, but we've got the ability within our squad even taking account for current injuries, and if we approach the game in the right professional way, I'd remain hopeful that we can beat them again.

Signed up for the stream.
Will be interesting to see if GJ has been keeping a big surprise secret - either an incoming loanee or Wrighty recovering to play up top.
If not, the two decisions to be made are goalkeeper and right centre back.
It has always been a tight one to call between Covolan and MacDonald. Shaun did not play as badly at Weymouth as some are claiming, but maybe he has just let Covolan nip back in front. I am sure GJ will know the two characters and think of the psychology before making his choice which could go either way.
Warren is a better player than Kerr but GJ will be keen to manage Warrren's pitch time to get the best out of him. Moxey will need to come off early so he may hold Warren back to fill that gap from the bench. If GJ is 100% happy for Warren to play 90 minutes, then he will start.
Hope that Waters is fit for the bench if Umerah does start up front.

Covolan and Warren back into the side. Waters is on the bench but no Wynter yet....
As for Yeovil, no Murphy who must still be isolating and Josh Neufville gets his first start of the season.

In player stream providing online coverage just signed in after registering though coverage not yet started. Straightforward enough hope coverage and camerawork is good. Pitch should be good and hopefully suite our game. Don't envisage Wrights return after the way he hobbled off last week but who knows. Suspect GJ will choose the same starting line up there were defensive errors but we got there in the end. Interesting one this, were very lucky to be able to be playing considering what's happening around the country. Note: Sad news regards Clint Boulton who sadly passed away yesterday. www.torbayweekly.co.uk/sport/shock-death-of-torquay-united-1970s-legend-clint-6879354
