So it looks like I was not the only one to think Green isn`t up to it, we got a hot shot kid from Brizzle that Wenger was eyeing up!

It seems the HE may not have got the facts correct about how long the loan will be. according to the Bristol City site, the loan is until the end of the season. www.bcfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10327~1506014,00.html

So if he is here for a season long loan & with Bevan signing for 18 months, you would imagine that Poke gets his loan canceled?? If it works like that?
I have 2 questions;
1. How many players are you allowed to have on a long term loan? 2. How would you terminate a season long loan, midway through the loan? I know that Southampton could recall him at the drop of a hat, but how does it work if all of a sudden he became 'surplus' to requirements. (not that he is surplus to requirements) i.e would there be any clauses imposed on us if we did want to cancel it?
That said, would we want to cancel Pokes loan, better to have him sat around here just in case?? or is that a waste of money paying his wages as we do have Rice at Truro.

Don't know If any of you have read .com today? but I do like what young Tristan Plummer has said in an interview. I think that he will be starting for us against Blackpool, but he really comes across as someone who is coming here, to not only help his game, but try and help Torquay United.
He wants to try and help us get back into the football league and he also knows Benyon well. The thing that pleased me most was his views on our club, saying he knew our club was a serous club with ambition. Nice to know that players from bigger clubs see Torquay this way, helps explain why players have been keen to come here, since our new board took over from Bateson.

Poke is on a season long loan and there's a contract in place to that effect. It can only be changed with agreement from all parties....

Well I think that can only be good news and I really hope that he sees out the loan to its end. Having Bevan is important as we did not want to have the same problems with the keeper position, we had last season. Having Poke on board as well only means we have two top keepers and any fan would be happy no matter which one got to wear the jersey.No disrespect to Young Martin Rice, but fans would start getting alarm bells ringing, if he was the keeper we would have to depend on If Bevan got injured. In saying that I really think Bucks would not recall him anyway, just find another loan one if Poke was not here.
