Hartlepool drew 1-1 in the end so remain three points behind us and cannot overtake us on Saturday. Sutton somehow scored two late goals to win 3-2.
On the plus side after two tough home games against Yeovil and Wrexham, Sutton then play 9 out of their next 11 games away with the two home games being against Stockport and Torquay.

No midweek game tomorrow for the Gulls but there are a couple of games where our immediate rivals for the top spot could come unstuck. Hartlepool go to mid-table Halifax never an easy place to go and Halifax themselves are only 7 points off the play off positions so have plenty to motivate them. Sutton United are at home to Bromley but Bromley are no mugs and are on the verge of the play off positions being only two places below at present. Could be plenty of smiles around Torbay come 9 o'clock tomorrow evening. ⚽️ Halifax 1 Hartlepool 1, and I was convinced about the quality of my insight until Sutton United grabbed a 90+3 goal for a narrow 3-2 win at home to Bromley! 😮 Looks like Yeovil Town will be in the play offs ⚽️ |

Credit to our main rivals, that hurt though seeing that result tonight when they looked like dropping points. Up to us to respond we cannot rely on other teams failures to see us through we have to go on a decent run now or will we now drop the batton completely?

Last gasp winner from the team who are grinding out wins in a title winning fashion. Bugger They may well have said the same thing about us when we were scoring late winners in 'Gary -Time' earlier in the season. We can't have our cake and eat it Phil. With loads of points to play for and the season hotting up nicely, being in contention at this stage of the season is something I would have taken if asked pre-season. |

They may well have said the same thing about us when we were scoring late winners in 'Gary -Time' earlier in the season. We can't have our cake and eat it Phil. With loads of points to play for and the season hotting up nicely, being in contention at this stage of the season is something I would have taken if asked pre-season. No cake involved, just a simple bugger at the late winner. If only we’d hung on at Yeovil ☹️ |
