Not been impressed by Wealdstone so far, would hope for 3 points on that showing when we play them next. Wealdstone now back to 2-2!!!

With virtually last kick of the match, Sutton equalise from a corner. Means we remain 5 clear at the top.

Good day at the office for Gary Johnson and well done 'Stone for giving it a go. Wealdstone are our next opponents although we won't play them till December and ironically Sutton's next opponents are Halifax.

I think Wrexham are showing they could be a bit of a threat this year being 2-0 up at Half time at home against Sutton. Not that I was overly impressed by Sutton on Saturday.
Elsewhere the earlier kick offs are drawing to a conclusion with Hartlepool surprisingly being held scoreless against Barnet and 10 man Bromley 1-0 up against Altrincham.

And Wrexham end up thumping Sutton 4-0 in the end with the other results staying the same. Good for us in the short term as means we will still be top come Saturday. Funny old table. 5 points behind us sit Sutton in second place. Another 4 points below them sees King Lynn in13th place. As we approach a quarter of the season, seems we are the stand out team so far.....

Still a bit early to predict who will be the main contenders. Wrexham are definitely finding their feet and are building on some good form after there much publicised takeover. It will be a tough test for us Saturday week.
Like it or not were sure to have a wobble at some point its par for the course but the longer we can keep this run of form going the better our chances. Two tough away fixtures up next and maybe supporters in the ground at the Racecourse - How weird!

And Wealdstone go down 3-0 at Notts County tonight. Think it shows that Wealdstone are likely to be around the mid table or possibly play off challengers while Notts are very much now looking at the top end of the table.
In the very, very short term, we still remain 5 points clear with just a point now between those in the six play off places.

Just the 4 fixtures in our division today. Maidenhead are away to Altrincham, Bromley host Wrexham, Sutton host Halifax and at the bottom end, Weymouth host Chesterfield.
Technically, we could still be 5 points clear come the end of these games but more realistically a chance for some to close the gap.

I think things are beginning to shape up now. Wealdstone I did expect to fall away and Notts County to put their slow start behind them. Wrexham seem energised by their recent take over and these two former league clubs are our biggest threat possibly along with Sutton. We can't afford to take our eye off the ball for one second. I won't even consider going to Plainmoor this season but if all goes well in the fight against the virus it would be a dream if my next attendance is in the Football League.

Technically, we could still be 5 points clear come the end of these games but more realistically a chance for some to close the gap. So Altrincham did us a favour and beat Maidenhead 2-0. They are the only team to have played 12 games and the 3 teams below them, Eastleigh, Solihull Moors and Stockport have incredibly only played seven, potential to move towards the top end of the table but playing all those games in a tight schedule will take its toll so as always rather have the points. Elsewhere Sutton scored the only goal of the game to beat Halifax and move to within 2 points of us but they have played an extra game now. Before today they had only got 2 points from their previous 3 games so fallen back a bit. Bromley and Wrexham drew 1-1 which is probably the best scenario for us and means that Sutton are the only team within 5 points of us. Chesterfield came from behind to beat Weymouth 1-2.

Its a very odd looking league table currently. Altrincham sit in fourth place but have played 13 matches while Stockport are 13th and have played only seven times. Barnet are having another nightmare tonight and have already conceded five at low scoring Halifax with 30 minutes still to go. Yeovil still not won a league game and conceded another three at home last night. WTF is going on with them one of the strongest teams we played last term? A six match difference in completed fixtures already between teams many will be playing catch up - just crazy.
Pretty fortunate to have ten games on the board and are sitting pretty with so many points on the board.

Notts held to a scoreless draw by Dagenham which is good for us. Looking upwards, nice to see Reid get a start and score his first goal for a 0-1 away win for Mansfield over Cambridge.
