Very difficult to see anything other than a number of clubs having financial issues this season. Just hope we manage to keep our head above water. Looks like a decent squad and good results on the pitch would certainly help.

I'm thinking the same Stig. With the lingering uncertainty that the National league seem to continually create and little or nothing coming from those in charge is just making things worse for all clubs. Surely by now there should be some sort of plan or guideline in place to cover all eventualities. All we have are a few dates of intent with only guesswork for how many fans can attend matches. Maybe when the fixture lists are released we will know more. Added to that the complete mess made of who got relegated from League one left two clubs, Stevenage amnd Macclesfield without a clue what division they would play in for far to long and have then reversed their decision in the last fortnight. Amazed but pleased we do appear to be stable and in control of the situation but would imagine that many of the smaller clubs in our division will be extremely concerned. Once the Furlough scheme draws to a close is when we will begin to see the full impact on clubs that were balancing on the edge even before the Covid crisis. Football without fans - completely unsustainable for any pro or semi pro club.

“Early Discount rate will still apply to any further tickets offered for sale until 31st August at 5pm.“ Although none are being offered for sale presently, are they? Very true Rob and only 8 days (not counting today) ‘till the end of the month.

Premier league clubs generate income of about 2.5 billion pounds from TV rights. I am not sure how much of this trickles down to the lower leagues.

Very true Rob and only 8 days (not counting today) ‘till the end of the month. The new paper ‘Torbay’ informs us that “Season-tickets are on sale”. You would have thought that Mr Thomas would be aware that they weren’t !

On Saturday it will have been exactly 6 months since the last game at Plainmoor so at last a ray of light at the end of the tunnel with players returning from furlough today and I am sure will be fit and raring to go.
With a bit of luck we may get some announcements this week about further sales of season tickets and whether the PSF’s will be open to some limited number of fans - season ticket priority? If so a published list of PSF fixtures would be good to have a first look at the newbies.

Are we back training today? Thought I read somewhere we were starting on the 24th. Little coming info coming the club at the moment. The uncertainty and delayed start date has dampened enthusiasm somewhat. GJ did well for a while keeping us informed through weekly web interviews but all momentum has now been lost.

Could be wrong he was wearing a face mask but believe I just spotted Connor L E at Kigsteignton Lidles with his heavily pregnant partner.

I don’t really see how the club can open season ticket sales to the general public until they have some idea how many people they may be able to let into the stadium.
This is not the club’s fault.
I am sure the club would love to sell as many tickets as they can, but they just cannot sell tickets beyond the ground’s capacity.
We season ticket holders were lucky to have the first window to bag our places. We did know there could be capacity constraints so can’t really moan if we failed to take that opportunity and have to wait for more capacity clarity.

link - bit more on Devon Live on how first day of training went together with a hint that there will be 3 PSF’s against NLS clubs, makes sense as with the same start date we will be at a similar stage in our build up. Will some fans be allowed to attend?

There will be radio commentary plus full coverage on the TUFC website whatever that may be?
