Yes congratulations to Exeter City and at least the play off final at Wembley will seem completely normal with rows and rows of empty seats 😉

BBC Sport is reporting that the Rugby Union Premiership is hoping to have some sort of a crowd at games when they resume the 2019/2020 season on Saturday 15 August 2020. They had initially planned to hold all fixtures at just a couple grounds but have now followed football and decided on the normal home and way. They are hoping with social distancing reduced and hospitality opened up they will be able to hold games with a crowd of about 20% to 25% capacity. For our local Exeter Chiefs that would be about 3500 to 4000 so a bit strange but better than nothing. If it worked though it would be encouraging for Torquay United when starting the 2020/2021 season as 1000 or a little over would at least be bringing some income in.....

link - yep, interesting article and shows how football is leading the way to getting back to some form of normality, However, it shows the new normal has a massive economic impact and sport in general will have to be both innovative and do more for less.

Callum Morton scores a second for Northampton just before half time for a 2-0 lead leaving Exeter an uphill battle at Wembley again.

Cobblers 4 Total Cobblers 0
An abysmal performance from Exeter, in which Northampton's big players won everything in either box. Commentator suggesting that City failed to achieve a single shot on target throughout the match, and from what I can recall I think he's right. All City did produce was one of the most vicious fouls ever witnessed at Wembley, for which the Ref didn't hesitate in issuing a straight red card to thug Moxey.
Kelvin Thomas watched the game on TV from his home in Florida, and Keith Curle had his team fired up for the occasion. Argyle now sprint clear as Devon's top side, a league above their red and white rivals. The Trust successfully campaigned, and voted to get Tisdale removed, now they need to get their knives out for Taylor also. Get King Kev in charge, a man who can cope with the pressure, and still come up with the goods when the odds are stacked against you and there's no money in the kitty.
Make the change City, and start next season with optimism.

Far too one-sided to be a proper contest. Northampton ran riot throughout the match, they were like BLM in full flow. Exeter meanwhile, preferred to play the part of Starmer and Raynor. I think they even apologised at full time for not allowing The Cobblers to score more than 4. Red and White guilt

I wouldnt mind an FA Cup meeting somewhere along the way though

Bit rash then, Johnson has lined up but not signed yet and he knows which division he is in! NL play off final on August 2nd, both those teams will not know the division they will be in next season and pre - season likely to start the next day.

They've signed Inih Effiong (Dover), Femi Akinwande (Billericay) & Elliott Osborne (Stockport). Not the kind of names you'd expect them to be signing if still a league club.
