link - another cup tie against old friends Boreham Wood. I wonder if Janneh will be a) fit and b) allowed to be cup tied for this game?

Not an easy passage that's for sure but I think I prefer a side that is bound to compete and test us rather than one that looks easy meat.

We're on our way to Wembley.... The replay won’t be too far away, to be fair.

link - Devon Live asking the question whether Janneh will be available for our FA Cup match on Saturday as that has not been laid out in the loan deal.

link - worth noting this is all ticket and only available on Maidstone’s website. Not the largest grounds and as of yesterday morning only around 300 tickets left!

link - good news in that Janneh has been given permission by Bristol to play for us in the FACup - subject to permission from FA and EFL. And if selected - May have connotations about him extending his contract?

And if selected - May have connotations about him extending his contract? Is it not more likely that allowing Janneh to become cup-tied reflects more on the expectation by City that their interest in the FA Cup will be limited, and therefore highly likely to be unaffected by Janneh's ineligibility? Whilst his loan is good for us, it also shows that City don't deem him ready for 1st team selection just yet. At the start of the season they had lined him up to have a loan to League 1. I suspect that is still their aim before seeing him as ready for City’s first team. An injury in the interim is unlikely to have elevated him from that position in August. We should enjoy having him for as long as we do. I hope his rehabilitation in their view has him spending a whole season here. It might not, though.

Good to see Saikou free to play for us in this one. Bristol City must also have given permission for Rob Cundy to play - It's a good relationship between the Johnson's and the two clubs that's really been of huge benefit to us and one that will continue for the longer term hopefully. Fancy Shaun Mac to start in goal to keep him up to speed and did nothing wrong against Wrexham. Love the FA cup and it would be great to have a run in the competition but I feel the league is our priority seeing how we have progressed in recent weeks. Promotion back to the FL Is surely GJ's ultimate goal and will desperately want to get through he'll not be wanting any more injury distractions that seem have been a constant headache this season. How hes managed to cover those injuries so well and continued to improve is incredible and It's hard to believe just how well the young players who have come in and done so well.
I see Matt Buse has just been named National League player of the Month. What an achievement for a young unknown plucked from non league obscurity! Fully deserved.
Tough game awaits on an artificial pitch and they will be well up for it without doubt.

Fully deserved. link - just shows what training full time can do as he had come on in leaps and bounds since playing in a utility role in the PSFs and yet another feather in the cap for Johnson in spotting a good player. Very pleased for Buse, hasn’t just made the jump up a couple of divisions but has become an integral part of a side that has won Seven out of eights games and pushing for top of the division.

He should be incredibly proud of his progress. Has taken his opportunity to get a run in the side and put his stamp on the position. Long may it continue.

In the last two rounds Taunton Town have seen off Tiverton and Truro. Got a feeling their coming our way.
