This match is on at the later time due to the BT Sport coverage as we take on our old friends and rivals Aldershot who so nearly passed us in the opposite direction but were reprieved from relegation due to Gateshead being sanctioned.
Aldershot have had a slow start with just the one win against local rivals Woking who have otherwise started well this season. However, every game Aldershot have played so far has not seen a differential of more than one goal and with the cameras suggest this will be a similarly tight game.
As for TUFC, Asa’s one match suspension will see a change in the starting line up with lots of options available to Johnson. The most simple would be to slot Connor back into central midfield with Little and play Duku fresh from his mid week hat trick in a 4-4-2. Alternatively, Andrews could cover in central midfield allowing Edwards and Kalala to threaten on the wings. Alternatively, Vincent could come back to play in his more favoured position. Whatever Johnson goes for, it is a nice problem to have!

link - Liam was back a week earlier than scheduled last Saturday and probably worked out well for him in that he has no mid week game before Saturday’s match.

What a fantastic result at Dover after the Maidenhead disappointment - demonstrating yet again the character of our young players and the ability of our manager to educate players and lift their spirits.
Asa Hall will be a big miss. Probably our key player in my view as he glues the team together and provides the solid base from which the young guns can attack relentlessly.
Ryan Dickson would be the obvious like for like replacement in terms of experience, nous and defensive capability. He is certainly not fit enough to start - probably not even enough to steady the ship in the last fifteen minutes.
We have three central midfielders who have been playing out of position and itching to have a go in the middle.
Lemonheigh- Evans could drop back, freeing up room for a second out and out striker - with Duku, Touray and Keating all gagging for a chance up front.
Andrews could pull into the middle. Keating, Edwards and Vincent would be fighting to take the spare place out wide.
Vincent could come in to the centre - maybe offering a tad more defensively than Evans or Andrews.
Buse did an excellent job impersonating Hall when he replaced him in the Argyle friendly. He would be more a like for like in style if not experience.
Joe Lewis can play holding midfield - another option if the defensive duties are judged more important than the creative ones.
I am sure GJ will weigh up all the pros and cons before making his decision.
Let's hope for three points - and a rested captain raring to go at Barnet on Monday!

It was a good day today where we were comfortably the better side and fully deserved the two goal win and Andrews was very unlucky not to get a third when his shot was blocked by a great header from their defender off the line with the keeper beat and their team completely at sixes and sevens during this sequence of play that should have seen us score.
Having said that I don’t think Aldershot were a bad side as it took a wonder strike from Reidy and a deflection to feed the ball directly to Opi to get the goals. What the visitors did lack though was enough goal threat up front.
The Asa hole was filled by Andrews today who put in a solid performance in his more favoured position. Connor, actually played as a second striker putting in a strong performance and showing his quality and could have had a goal early on with his shot going just wide. Our defence was a lot better with Davis now completing the set and Cameron being his usual majestic self with both my son and a friend that I briefly spoke to afterwards having him down as their MOTM.
Edwards was man of the match particular for his second-half performance and gave Aldershot an absolute torrid time using his pace to good effect not just in attack but also to track back. He was however, nobbled from a late challenge just 24 seconds into the game earning their player a very early yellow card.
Despite being the better side in the first half it took us until injury time to go in front with a pass to Reidy very well controlled enabling him to go turn the defender and fire the ball just inside the far post and worth watching on the link above if for some reason you haven’t yet! After the Maidenhead game it was a bit of a relief for our dominance to have paid off as we all know what can happen when it doesn’t!
Once we had that second goal Aldershot never looked like getting back into the match and so it proved. I think our substitutions were brought on just to give some of our players a bit of respite before the Barnet game in a couple of days. Vincent looked very energetic and Duku for the short time he was on the pitch certainly offered something. A very happy Plainmoor today with all eyes now looking up the table.

A well deserved victory in front of the BT cameras and a crowd of over 2600.
While dominating major parts of the game with some neat passing and approach play and our front line pressing their back line at every oportunity we struggled at times to really get behind and create any clear chances.
The work rate was once again exceptional and concentration levels good. Goals either side of halftime sealed the victory the second giving us the cushion we desperately needed for us to open up a little more. Aldershot played their part in an entertaining high tempo game with plenty of interesting individual battles being won Niate v Mullings was the stand out one for me.
Thought Niate was outstanding today despite one sliced clearance he dominated the big man and kept him quiet.
Wonderful goal fro m JR set the ball rolling though the loss of the more mobile Finny for the less mobile O'Dwyer probably contributed to their downfall.
Kalala looked jaded and couldn't get his game going for some reason though I thought we were strong and dominant across the middle today with lots of energy and endevour.
All taking shape and we are rising to the challenge of the step up in quality.

What a cracking turn and shot by Reid! If Lineker had done that, some people would think he was some sort of a God! Best bit being, as the goal is scored, the two turned defenders look at each other with a gesture of...how the f**k did that happen?  |

After visiting to watch Maidenhead game ,better team by long way,went to pub last night watched our beloved gulls loved every minute,to b honest thought we played better gainst Maidenhead ,but the spirit in the team is great,we beginning to get a grip in this league ,and we will get stronger ,the gaffer realises wot we have here ,I believe we will make playoffs at eiraa ,yes am positive bout this season and the squad we have Look out national beware the gulls will the team to watch Rule us out at your peril cmon u gulls
