After a wake up call on Tuesday evening we have another tough game away at unbeaten Bromley and Johnson will be looking for improvements all around the pitch. Four changes were made for the last game and I suspect that more will be made for this match.
Personally I would like to see Evans start in midfield as that is his position and he is a quality player at this level but not good enough out of position. It sounds like Davis will be back next week, possibly Tuesday, if not on Saturday so finding cover here is now a very short term issue. Hopefully Reid will start with Duku up front.
The trick will be staying in the game and not conceding early on as then anything is possible. COYY

No predictions from me. Another tough game after Tuesday's hiccup but we all know we are "better than that". If I remember correctly Tranmere had a dodgy start the season we were relegated. Won only three games up until the start of October so what all of the panic is about I have no idea. If the quality is their, and I believe it is we will get stronger and stronger as the season progresses. If that doesn't happen Garry Johnson will still have a plan to push us on. Expectation levels have been set too high, inevitable after last seasons exploits so time to get real people.....this is a work in progress.

Looks like it is going to be dry but very windy at the game today which will make things more difficult.

I haven't got a bloody clue how this match will pan out, but one thing I do know...I'm not putting any money on us!

A tough game.
Very important that we put Tuesday behind us, or self-doubt may start to creep in.
Not sure what to expect lineup wise.
Vincent did not convince me at left back, but Lewis seems to have struggled there too.
I wish we had done as Chelston suggested and got in a proper left back on a month loan.
Not convinced by Niate either. Would Lewis be better at right centre back? Would prefer someone more experienced but ....
Although most played badly on Tuesday, we are spoiled for choice for the forward positions.
Not sure if Touray was left out on Tuesday or still awaiting international clearance. If he is available, we have nine primarily attacking players fighting over five starting places, three bench places and a seat in the stands.
Big issue for me is how best to accommodate Little and Lemonheigh-Evans - who are both best suited to a centre-midfield slot alongside Hall.
Options:
- start with one or other on the bench
- play one of them (probably Evans) out wide
- play 4-2-3-1 with one (probably Evans) tucked behind Reid (not really playing to Reid's strengths)
- play both in centre midfield and Hall at centre back (leaves midfield a little lightweight?)
- play a back three system with wing backs, then play both either side of Hall in midfield. Andrews and Vincent would also come into contention for such slots. (Don't think GJ is a back three fan.)
I usually put shape first over desperately cramming the best players into a team, but it seems ridiculous to leave out a player of that class. I had assumed that Little was here to replace Evans. Would rather have had an experienced right-sided centre-back, but you cannot look a gift horse in the mouth. "A nice problem to have".

Ok, Vincent back at left back, Kalala and Andrews on the Wings, Hall and Little in centre mid with Evans in advanced midfield supporting Reid on his own up front.
Keating, Duku and Edwards on the bench with Covolan and Lewis providing defensive cover.

Ok, Vincent back at left back, Kalala and Andrews on the Wings, Hall and Little in centre mid with Evans in advanced midfield supporting Reid on his own up front. Keating, Duku and Edwards on the bench with Covolan and Lewis providing defensive cover. So the same formation as Tuesday of 4-2-3-1. That should give a solid shape away from home but didn’t at Solihull! On paper, Vincent is less defensive-minded than Lewis and Kalala and Andrews less solid / hard working than Edwards and Keating. Football is often won or lost in players’ minds rather than by formations. Let’s hope we are “at it” today. We did not appear to be on Tuesday. Bromley are undoubtedly a good team but our players have the quality to beat them IF we can stamp our authority on the game.

Already 1-0 down from a free kick in the second minute
Good delivery and held up in the wind but we just didn’t deal with it!
