Indeed Rob its a very tough opening sequence but we will now have players very capable waiting on the sidelines for their chance. The part timers in this division will find it tough that's for sure. Pace out wide is now an option we didn't really have before today Luckily CLE and Opie will know exactly what their jobs are and know the lay of the lay of the land regards what Gj wants. No idea now what the starting lineup will be tomorrow..

Glad to see these extra signings over the last couple of days. Given the congested fixture schedule over the first two months, and the considerable amount of extra travelling for us compared to most clubs, you can't just put out the same 11 for 90 minutes game after game. Johnson badly needed a bit more depth and all round strength and has now gone a good way to achieving that..
Tough game tomorrow against a Boreham Wood side who are no mugs, and it's us stepping up a level not them. A draw won't be the end of the world.

Only problem is - how do you keep such a talented squad happy from week to week. The sort of problem we have rarely had in recent years. .. As Gullone mentioned on another thread we have eight games in August against tough opponents in potentially very hot weather at times. This gives us the chance to rotate players to keep them fresh and use the bench to the full. Trick for Johnson will be to keep the team as a cohesive unit although helps that CLE and Edwards played last season. I agree and it is worth mentioning that we were pretty fortunate with injuries last season given our small squad. Also there will be more games this season as well.

link - Koszela on short term loan to Tiverton. Good move for both clubs as Koszela can get some good pitch time and toughen up playing men’s football.

Would expect Lewington and Landricombe to be first choice up top, so may have to play out wide or wait for his chance off the bench.

Really enjoyed that interview and took the same from it. The last 12 months for him have been superb, but his eagerness to put everything into improving his game comes over loud and clear. Good on him.

link - bit of an update where we are on the injury front. Pretty sure Niate will be back and heard Little is close which can only be a good thing with Asa and Conner out long term.
