I thought I would get this thread up a couple of weeks early as opposed to a couple of days partly due to the interest in this West Country derby but also because Bath play twice before this game interestingly against Slough on Tuesday and then against East Thurrock on Saturday. Bath are in a rich vein of form with four wins and one draw in their festive period of games with their draw coming away at Chippenham which they promptly rectified by thumping them five nil at their place. They are currently fourth In the table some 11 points behind us but with that game in hand and Saturday’s game technically could be just six points behind us by the time we play them! I was quite impressed by their team at Plainmoor where we were lucky to get the win but it does mean we are on for our second double of the season but will be a tough one. I see Bath have initially released 1000 tickets, including 200 seated so far out of a typical away allocation near to 1500 to be sold at Plainmoor. They go on sell at 10am on this Thursday but will cost an extra £3 to post any order by recorded delivery for those that cannot get to the ground in person. link

0-0 at half time with Slough tonight, not that surprising, took us until the second half to score!

link update on dot com, all seating tickets now sold out 150/200. A significant chunk of terrace tickets 800 allocation have been sold. link - update from TUST on this visit. Our allocation is 1450 with Bath CIty selling 500 of these mainly for exiles. They now have 200 tickets left unsold Looks like we will sell out our allocation before match day with the home end beckoning on the day for others prepared to leave their yellow at home.

The club twitted at 4:10 less than 100 tickets left to sell from their allocation with reception closing at 4:30 and reopening on Monday morning. Not bad for 2 days sales - at least 1150 tickets now sold at the 2 clubs and likely to be nearer to the 1300 mark. Probable sell out for the away section by Monday

Can't remember the last proper away game I went to, AFC Telford or Newport County?

Bath continue their good run with perhaps an unimpressive 1-0 home win over East Thurrock. Attendance of 772 and I see only 3 gates this year over the 1000 mark with 1700 odd the highest on New Year’s Day so good chance we can turn this into a bit of a home match.

I can see this match also being the highest attendance of Bath City supporters at a single game this season simply because we have turned it into a must see event. Could be as many as 2000 Bath City supporters and neutrals. Could even be highest attendance in the division this season.

However that Bristol End looks like it can accommodate far more than 1,200 if required and it will be interesting to see how things develop this week.

It is possible that Bath still have some of their 500 allocation left so is another source if anyone is struggling to get a ticket on Monday.
I was talking to someone this weekend who rarely goes to Plainmoor but went on Boxing Day and said he was amazed at the standard of football on offer and will be going again this season so this team is drawing in new support. I had a look at the goals in December video linked above and there are some real crackers in there and the manner of these wins are a big part of why so many are turning up not just to watch the team at home but are prepared to make a day of it at such as at this match.

The Bath Trust have told TUST that the actual current capacity is only around 3,500 and that there will be no more tickets made available to us once our allocation is sold.
