I rarely disagree with chelstongull and we may well look back and think we should have bid farewell to Mr Owers sooner rather than later. However I think ten games gives him a chance to get things right and also gives a new manager time to make a success of the season. This of course discounts the theory that our current owner has no interest in running a successful club. Time will tell.

If Mr Owers does leave the club hopefully we will have a new manager lined up to replace him.A prolonged spell without a manager (again) would be disastrous.

Interesting looking at Gary Owers historical managerial record - sacked after four straight defeats at Forest Green. Basically they couldn't score goals - the last sentence is very revealing. Some familiar names on this team sheet!
From BBC archives.26 August 2006. Forest Green 0-1 Gravesend Luke Moore's first goal for Gravesend gave the visitors the victory over struggling Forest Green. Summer signing Moore converted Jon Keeling's cross from close range in the 28th minute, to leave Rovers without a point from their first four games.
Midfielder Leslie Afful flashed a volley wide, but Rovers struggled to break Gravesend's defence down.
And a lack of quality in the final third made it clear why they have failed to score a goal this season. Forest Green: Steve Williams, Lawless, Butler, Edwards, Nicholson, Afful (Danny Williams 63), Pitman (Clist 45), Jones, Meechan, Griffin (Idoua 69), Russell. Subs Not Used: Preece, Harrison.
Booked: Pitman, Jones.

Owers going to have his retained list done and dusted by 6pm saturday so it sounds if he is staying good luck with anyone paying out good money to see this complete failure build another useless squad so expect a long stay in the national south Hhhmmmm

The worrying thing is that if we win, it will take gloss of yesterdays match, which a lot are saying is one of the worst in TUFC history. The guy hasn't got a clue and the turd in the water closet is that we had to pay Bath compensation for him.
