Very easy to make a scapegoat out of someone and I do have sympathy for Nico as he had very little support from the new owners who were obviously looking to sack him at the earliest opportunity which they of course did. Mistakes were made with the injury crisis but it is rarely that black and white and with no additional budget forthcoming, this forced Nico to put Chaney in defence for example which was a recipe for disaster. So instead of backing the manager that kept us up for two seasons which would have cost a lot less money, he was sacked, with all the ramifications from those decisions by Harrop / Osborne leading to our relegation today.

Worryingly i think he will get us relegated again because he hasnt a clue how to treat players he treats them like shit and they end up not wanting to play for him as like this season.

I cannot see a single reason to hold KN responsible for our relegation. The principal reason given is the squad that he left behind.

Despite that the players are fitter, are now square pegs in square holes, aren't rubbish anymore and are set up better to attack the opposition - NOHe's part of the team that are splitting opinion on whether to support the club next season in the Conference South. Pitch forks and lighted torches anyone........ Still a NO from me...

Still a NO from me as well.
I am sure we will see further evidence of Osborne double standards, when they fail to sack Owers after 4 games after what will probably be a mediocre start at best.

Owers is clueless, saw this first hand in December and haven't changed my mind as I see no evidence that could change that.

My rationale being - the possibility of Pittman and Gowling remaining which I am surprised Owers would mandate given last season. To also mention that confirmation on contracts (yes or no) for Davis, McGinty and Dorel has not been received yet despite Owers setting the original deadlines. Finally Owers says he has some experienced players lined up (hopefully) but they may not find it easy to relocate. Blow me he has been working hard but mainly on setting up excuses! Now feeling as though we will have a pretty feeble line up next season the way things have gone thus far!

My rationale being - the possibility of Pittman and Gowling remaining which I am surprised Owers would mandate given last season. Negotiating technique. If you say that you are desperate for a deal and will do anything to avoid "no deal" then you are guaranteed a crap deal. The other side can afford to dig its heals in and be stubborn because it knows you will cave. Show that you would rather have no deal than a crap deal and the other side has to negotiate to avoid a situation that neither side wants. I am sure that Gowling and Pittman are just as keen to avoid a situation where they are stuck with Owers as Owers is to avoid as situation where he is stuck with them.
