Twelve wins and twelve draws required in the remaining 33 games to reach our last seasons total of fifty three points. What do you reckon our chances - we haven't tasted victory since last April!! Never going to happen if we don't hit the back of the net and we have been woeful in front of goal all season. Typically we paid the price AGAIN for missed chances when McGinty inexplicably hauled back the Dagenham forward in the box in the last minutes. Its pretty obvious we better start soon!
Good to hear the performance was much improved but that will mean nothing if its not followed up with similar and three points. If its a "back to normal" performance followed by defeat then I can see the support drifting away and attendances dropping dramatically in the coming weeks and months.

Got a sneaky good feeling about this one. Our opponents have six wins already, but I reckon a Tuesday night under the Plainmoor lights, with a seasonal temperature drop and the smell of deep heat, is the right time to stop the rot.
We'll be the ones nicking a 1-0 this time out. Murphy on 75 minutes (McGinty if he's playing) and some serious last ditch defending seeing us bravely through the last 3/4 minutes of the 94. Attendance 1678 (24 away fans)

We, if results go our way tonight could be 6 points adrift - lose and results go against us and we're 12 points adrift.
Knowing our luck, we will win and so will all the others around us!

Not really sure why but I will be attending tonight. Expecting nothing from the game. All hope and optimism has deserted me. Wont be deflated if we lose and wont be elated if we win. Its got to that stage for me now if we don't manage a win tonight I cant honestly see myself bothering again in the near future.
It's been a pleasant day in the sunshine - time for some evening autumnal fresh air.

I see the game has been delayed for 30 minutes as the Maidenhead team have yet to arrive.
Assume stuck on yet another crash on the M5.

I've always really enjoyed Tom Petty's music, and was very sad to hear of his early death, but I don't see why the BBC had to cut off the last two or three minutes of the online commentary in order to play one of his songs.

Had a feeling we'd win tonight. Sounded a very impressive performance.

I'm going to try to not get to carried away with this performance but I have to say the one word that sums up tonight's performance is PROFESSIONAL. Every aspect of tonight's performance was in total contrast to what I have witnessed for a number of seasons. With the game delayed for half an hour the whole squad was relentlessly put through its paces in every aspect by Martin Khul drilling them in military style in quick movement, short passing and shooting practice. Quite entertaining but you could sense a real steely determination tonight and everyone HAD TO do their job OR ELSE. Khul and Owers will take no prisoners that's for sure and will upset one or two in the process, not that there was any sign of that on a night when we played some of the best football for a very very long time. The new signings have added so much more quality to the line up and the likes of Luke Young and Jamie Reid have raised their own games accordingly. Both had exceptional games tonight though all of the players can look back with huge satisfaction in how they performed. Not a single poor performance tonight everyone knew their job and did as instructed for the full ninety minutes. This wasn't a poor Maidenhead side that were rushed onto the pitch after a hold up on the motorway they were given plenty of time and looked prepared. We were just too good for them and for once came out of the blocks with intent well before they could take any initiative which was key to our dominating and taking the game to them from the off. We already look fitter and stronger and I must say how impressed I was with Liam Davis - looks like the best left wing back we've had at the club for many a year. Such a shock to see players with a bit of quality in Gulls shirt. I'll leave the match report details to others we scored four very good goals and could well have had a couple more.

Liam Davis is indeed one of the best left backs that we have seen at the Club for a very long time.
Let us be fair to the previous manager and remember that he signed him - and I suspect that if Davis had been fit to start the season, everything would have been oh so different.

If all the other games were down to Kev and the players he bought then last night must also be kevs fault as well. Can't see how it can be one way then the other.

We, if results go our way tonight could be 6 points adrift Great overall performance, especially the first 45 minutes. Davis, excellent and I'm sure we wouldn't have dropped so many points if had been playing. Things should improve as well when we get Pitman, Gosling, Lee, and Dowling back.

If all the other games were down to Kev and the players he bought then last night must also be kevs fault as well. Can't see how it can be one way then the other. Possibly, but then you could argue the new management team has brought in some of the players and has now had a couple of weeks to work on the drills, fitness and tactics of the entire squad. I thought even though we lost to Maccy, we looked a bit better organised than previously. There seemed to be a continuing improvement against the Daggers as well (even though once again we lost) and last night showed another step up in overall team performance. Don't get me wrong, I like Kev but I just think it was the wrong time for him to jump into the managers seat at this level as a rookie. I hope he will gain coaching/managerial nous somewhere for a few more seasons, probably at one or two levels below before moving back up in level. I have no idea what Messrs Owers and Kuhl have done to Jamie Reid (for example) over the last couple of weeks but he was unrecognisable from the player that started the season and was, in my opinion, the outstanding player on the night.
