I see only the Daily Express decided to report that Corbyn said that. They even printed his actual words within the article. He didn’t say it. But to keep the story running anyway they decided to have a poll on what he didn’t say as well. Seems like one mug on here was sucked in. As were the 91% in the Express poll who disagreed with what Corbyn didn’t actually say.

It's either that one or the Mail, can't be arsed to look at any of the others. Lathered up...why would that happen when I don't even read the articles! Just to finish the above off.
It doesn't matter what paper it comes from, whether it's true or a pack of lies, certain people want to see it and will believe it...which people...read on.
When the transition from Rhodesia to Zimbabwe happened, Mugabe told the Black populace, that if they voted for him, when he got into power, they could choose which of the Whiteman's houses they wanted! I found this out when a mate of mine told me an African Gentleman had been stood outside his house for about 40 minutes, and when enquiring what the African Gentleman wanted, he was told about Mugabe and his promise...needless to say it never transpired.
So now we have Corbett and his promises, telling the youngsters of this country they don't have to work and will all get housing and will all get...
In the case of Mugabe, it was him deceiving the gullible and desperate!
In the case of Corbett, it's him deceiving the stupid and pampered!

If 2019 is going to be a Corbynista year, our brave Socialist warrior needs to exhibit all his latent Prime Ministerial qualities in the eagerly awaited head to head with Boris, if he wants to get seriously back into the fight and be viewed as a credible contender for No.10. Corbett has to project himself as undisputed sole leader of the anti BoJo alliance, and in this respect things are already turning his way. Today's Times reporting that the more people get to know about Fuhrer Swinson, the more unfavourable their opinion of her grows. That's where a good showing from Corbett tonight can help cement his claim to be the one true anti Tory leader, and perhaps it wouldn't hurt to drive home that message by reminding viewers of Fuhrer Swinson's complicity during the Cameron/Clegg administration.   Jezza needs to be on his guard against BoJo trying to bring the subject around to Brexit or the economy. It's critical that Jezza doesn't waver from insisting this is the Broadband Election, and that he has the policy that is best for Britain and best for the pockets of Internet users. Keep on track, and don't let Boris make you deviate from that central theme. And above all, look and sound Prime Ministerial. Think back to Boyo Kinnock, all those years ago, and with every chance of winning until he let his inner prat loose at that Sheffield rally just 24 hours or less before the Polling Stations opened. All the good work done up to that point was suddenly undone. With weeks to go, Boris is more than capable of tripping himself up. Keep focussed, the answer to every problem is most probably free broadband, so drive that point home time and time again. A good showing tonight, catching an over confident Boris off his guard, and the 'Corbett For PM' bandwagon can be back on the road and gathering pace, as the race to the finishing line gets ever nearer. We needs Jezza to be the Emily Maitlis and Boris to be the Prince Andrew of tonight's encounter. Let's cheer our lad on tonight, and the polls produced later in the week could be making very different reading from the depressing ones up to now. JC4PM

A NEW LOW FOR LABOUR
For those who struggled through the 'Question Time' special on BBC1 last evening, the one sided biased audience will have come as no surprise. Those in the Red corner, Corbett and Jimmy Krankie, received a relatively easy ride, but Fuhrer Swinson and BoJo were subjected to a new level of hostility by the Red rent a mob audience, as well as by the host. OK, so nothing compared to Channel 4 which is more a Far Left Activist Propaganda channel when it comes to news, and whose top executives openly slag off Boris. But he's had the good sense to boycott them, apparently in protest at their refusal to display even the slightest semblance of balanced reporting. Should he win the election, Boris really must start by doing something about the hideously biased BBC, mainly for the sake of our democracy.
Jezza, stupidly revelling in how the State broadcaster weighted things in his favour, would have been better off not boasting and drawing attention to it. 'What a good point that unknown ordinary member of the public, selected at random by the BBC made' indicates Jezza on Twitter.
Oh yeah, that ordinary member of Joe Public, who neither you, he, or the BBC let us know that he is actually the 'Social Media& Communications Officer' for.....wait for it.........The Labour Party
British politics ...what a mess, there really is a good case to take a leaf out of Stewart or Reg's book, and not vote for any of them.

Having already explained what 'Tea Pots' means in a previous post, I don't think it requires any more clarification. This way of talking is still used on a daily basis in the East End of London. So if you dislike it so much, I suggest you go to the next Millwall home match and tell them! Best of luck on that one! |

As a person whose mother used Cockney rhyming slang on a daily basis, I can tell you that a 'teapot' is CRS for a 'kid'. As in all rhyming slang, only the first word of the slang is used. Everyone knows that to take a 'butcher's' is to take a look, which comes from 'butcher's hook'. In the same way that 'apples' are stairs, derived from 'apples and pears'. Your 'skin' is your sister, from 'skin and blister', your 'boat' your face (boat race) and so on. When used correctly, CRS in speech does not rhyme with the word it replaces. So 'Teapots' is short for 'teapot lid', which as I said is CRS for kid. However, over time it has been corrupted to mean Yid. However, Yid is not CRS in any form; it comes from the contraction of 'Of Yiddish descent'. Whether 'Yid' is offensive depends on usage. Spurs fans self-deprecate by calling themselves Yids, but to me it is still offensive slang, as is the current use of 'teapots' to mean Jews. At last, a sensible post on this subject. A little bit of homework done, to make an interesting, intelligent and non-aggressive post. Someone has now said they find the words offensive, so I will discontinue their use, unless of course it happens to be the China Clay version. |
