Never a dull moment is there Reg ? The British public had no more power to do anything more than to deliver a Brexit win. From that moment on it's over to the Tories....some of whom would squirm out of it if they had their way. A least someone like Lammy was quite open about his wish to override the will of the people, as he expressed views more in line with those on a site you no longer read . Incidentally, there is a petition demanding Lammy's removal, link: Remove Lammy NowGove would hopefully be a good stop gap to force Brexit through in the way that the British people want, and then he'd probably step down before the next election. It won't be plain sailing as the BBC are already noticeably throwing their weight behind Theresa May. With a track record of appointing John Major, Michael Howard, and David Cameron, can we really rely on the Tories not to botch this up again and give a second rater like May the keys to No.10 ? At least the Tories have the option of a making a good appointment, whereas poor old Labour have nothing but second raters to select from if dear old Jezza capitulates. If only we hadn't voted Brexit, we need those multi talented migrants more than ever

HAPPY BREXIT DAYAnd a day of triple celebrations for Gulls fans. A vital extra three points gained last night by the team, this morning Clarke confirms the steady progress on the 5 year plan, as well as updating us on the forthcoming Fans Forum, and to top things off nicely we can also say 'Up Yours Delors' (or whatever the name of the current top Eurocrat is) and really mean it this time. Probably not the best of weather for most of us in the South West today, but in two years time, when it'll surely be proclaimed a national holiday to celebrate our independence, the sun will shine on us. And just as well, as it could be a day when Torquay Fans will take the chance to nip up to see how construction of the new stadium is proceeding #BrexitDay #ClimbingWithClarke #SustainableSuccess

Thanks to Rob for those links. I'm sure it will be interesting to compare what the Gov are saying at the start of the negotiating process, with what's actually achieved by the end of it. So much happens in the meantime, circumstances and situations change beyond anything you can predict. I expect Football Club owners also set out with one set of objectives, but depending on events, may have to revise them as they go along. But back to Rob's second link, and with a red strap line proclaiming 'A global Britain', 'A stronger economy', 'A fairer society', 'a united nation', you lose heart that May is a proper Conservative at all, as Maggie taught us many years ago 'That there's no such thing as society' Good luck with those aims Theresa. Most of us would welcome them being achieved, but I'm not sure I rate your chances on at least three out of the four. Just win a few satisfying local battles, such as depriving 'Wee Jimmy' of IndyRef2.....no one would blame you for being spiteful, as she clearly has the better legs than you. We'll also put out the flags (they're actually out for Brexit, but Reg is easily fooled) to show how pleased we are to see a post from Register. He's missed lots of excitement: the takeover of the club by G.I, Donald Trump's U.S triumph and inauguration, and the current speculation as to what the future might hold for The Gulls. Just tonight, I read the most drastic action I've seen called for so far, on another site: 'I know your reading this forum, as does harrop and your experienced recruitment manager, you should hang yourselves in shame'. All we can hope is that they're not dangling from nooses attached to the floodlight pylons nearest to the Family Stand.... if only for the children's sake. Good to see you back Reg, and I hope you'll continue to join in the fun now and again.

Thanks to Rob for those links. I'm sure it will be interesting to compare what the Gov are saying at the start of the negotiating process, with what's actually achieved by the end of it. As part of the triumph for sovereignty, it'll be Europe that will set the rules by which the UK can trade with it's biggest and previously tariff free market. That much appears likely. I agree with you that the government will have a fair bit of difficulty getting those aims over the line. I didn't particularly read much of a plan in amongst that websites' contents, but I'm told it's in there if you look hard enough. It's multi-faceted nature renders said plan far less straightforward than dressing up a Torquay land grab, so maybe they'll fill that site out over the coming months with useful information for those who voted for this course to understand what this course means. And what the plan is. Even the odd "remoaner" might check in for a gander at what was voted for or against over the next year or two. £350 million a day for the NHS, wasn't it? Make mine a large one, Nige.

Thought it was worth a post though with the Brexit thing actually happening at long last!

JEZZA SACKS SABOTEURS Impressively firm action from Jezza today in booting out undemocratic Remainiacs who are still plotting to overturn Britain's decision for a proper and meaningful Brexit. I struggle to have confidence that Tezza will act just as firmly when it matters over the coming years. Tezza is a weak Remainer at heart, whereas Jezza has always been a Leaver.
** UPDATE **
Now even Sir Nige is saluting Corbo.

I notice that Corbett and Labour are at it again. A month or so ago, Corbett said it was right that we were coming out of the EU. Yesterday, he voted against it, thereby, going against the will of the majority of the people! Nothing new from Labour there then!

Reg Yeah, but you're thinking that's a BAD thing Reg, and that people voted to leave because they wanted the U.K to be self governing again, rather than an outpost of an undemocratic colossus ruled over by the Germans and French. Whereas the Remainers have explained to us, as they did again this past Saturday at 'The People's March For Europe', that what we did can be compared to voting for HITLER ! Hang your head in shame man.....there's only one crime more serious that voting for Brexit, and that's saying a bad word against TUST

As Stefano says correctly, she's a remainer, she will never change her mind! Which of course doesn't help matters in her negotiations with the EU! Hence she's making such a shite job of it! I will give her some credit though, she is carrying out the wishes of the majority of the British people. Could you imagine if Corbett had got into power! 'Im Jezza Corbett of the Labour party and I don't care what the people say, we're not leaving the EU!' Still, nothing new from Labour there then!

I notice that the far right are about to take power in Austria! It had to start in Austria didn't it. Something in my mind reminds me of someone else who was quite big in history who came from Austria! So that will be Austria wanting out of the BC (the EU will now be known as the Basket Case) very shortly! Brexit (not that we would have left anyway), Catalonia about to break away, Austria, etcetera, etcetera, etcetera! The BC is imploding as it was always going to, and the remainers still cannot see it...though I have explained the reason for that!
