Looking at the table tonight it occurs to me we might just get out of this. With 15 games to play and 9 at home surely we have a chance.Interested to hear what other fans think.

Profound apologies Ditmar. If there is any chance of a jinx I retract the statement.

It is not over until it is over but just need to focus on the next match. We certainly have history of squeaking home at the last minute but need to get some sort of run going first....

Seven points from safety - two games in hand, now a tangible target, just got to keep winning those 6 pointers!

Just have to win the next two games to feel we have a chance to get out of the bottom four - psychologically the team will be battered if we fail to do so. Succeed and National League may become more likely next season. It's going to need some really gritty performances with a lot more application that yesterday. Could it happen - it might!

Minimum of 3 points required from the next two games to stand any chance.

And if kn129 is on the pitch 3 points from 6 is very unlikely I am afraid

And if kn129 is on the pitch 3 points from 6 is very unlikely I am afraid Only think he will play in the event of injury now which hopefully will not be at all. Eight points now the gap after Boreham Wood's good away win. However, still a third of the season left and no one around us has a better form win ratio than 30% suggesting that 50 points would be enough to stay up - 7 wins and 3 draws may well do it or 1.6 per game - play off form!

3 wins and 3 draws has seen us overcome that 8 point gap in just 6 games! 4 wins or even 3 with some draws thrown in will probably be enough which equates to around 1.33 per game - mid table form....
Furthermore, a number of other teams have now been dragged into the dangerzone and safety lies in numbers as some teams will bomb while others will surge.
18 points from the last 8 games to supplement the 20 from our first 29 games.....

Or to expand it further, since losing to Tranmere in January, we have racked up 5 wins and 3 draws. That's an impressive 18 points and the sort of form that runs away with the title (over 100pts)!!!!!

41 points now from 40 games with Chester (45) and Guisley (43) now in the relegation battle with the latter being our last fixture, an away game which could turn out to be another epic in our history!
The good news is that we have 4 out of our next 5 games at home and with 3 wins ideally needed could do the business at Plainmoor. Our games are against Chester, Tranmere and Altrincham at home, Bromley away then Barrow at home with only the latter two stuck in mid table but playing teams under pressure is not a bad thing and as always, those 6 pointers against our relegation rivals will be key.
