I really enjoyed listening to Liam Davis on the talking Torquay podcast where he was featured in the second half of episodes 44 and 46 and worth a listen as he talks about his career and particularly his time at Torquay- link |

I really enjoyed listening to Liam Davis on the talking Torquay podcast where he was featured in the second half of episodes 44 and 46 and worth a listen as he talks about his career and particularly his time at Torquay- linkI'm half way through the first one and yes it's a good listen. His views on Owers and how his downbeat persona had a big effect on performances certainly confirms what many of us thought at the time. Not often you get that kind of insight from someone actually involved, as footballers are understandably close mouthed about behind the scenes goings on usually. The relaunched Talking Torquay podcast is a very good product, with this and the always excellent Torquay Talk site we are spoiled for decent Gulls related content these days (even if the names are confusingly similar  ). |

link -It seems that even our ex-players cannot escape the injury curse with Ben Whitfield picking up a stress fracture on his foot which keeps him on the sidelines for the next couple of months.

(And I don’t mean from a corner)If so, I’m not surprised he’s not playing in a higher league. Can’t remember who we played but I’m sure they were several leagues lower and we lost.
